Heads up for anyone joining for Ticket to Ride: You'll need a Days of Wonder account (which you can set up in game in about five seconds but still) and you might want to consider running through the tutorial before starting.
The event hasn't even started and I already want to ragequit.

You should. If you liked any of the modern isometric RPGs that I haven't played yet but have heard and read plenty about (Pillars of Eternity, Tides of Numenera), you owe it to yourself to play their ancestor. It's probably the best CRPG of all time. This will be a golden opportunity for those too young to remember to dive in and experience this classic.
Yeah, PST is great, should be played by anybody who likes story driven or isometric rpgs. The only real flaw is the combat is horrible, but with the way the game is it's not too important. Personally of the isometric crpgs I liked Baldurs Gate 2 slightly better, the combat is just such a drag in PST that it brought it down a slight notch below BG2. Definitely excited for the enhanced edition, gives a good reason to replay it. When I initially played it for some reason i couldn't get any of the mods to work correctly.

I'm not able to post the link since I just made this account but Nuuvem is selling Guilty Gear XX +R for $2.75 which I believe is a historic low for the game.

Don't you mean Guilty Gear XX^Core+R?

ArcSys might be technically good at making fighters, but that title... I'm pretty sure their entire creative staff has to be constantly high for all the sense anything they do makes.

I just want to play some ME:A MP, but noone loves me.
Or me:a, for that matter.

Yeah the full title is "Guilty Gear XX Accent Core +R", tried to shorten it so nobody would confuse it with the older game in the series Accent Core. Most people just call it +R though. And $3 for the best version available is a steal.

I still hate ArcSys for making me pronounce any given instance of XX I see as "igzex" in my head.

And now Capcom's trying to do the same with XX (Double Cross). Can't Japanese people just call letters what they are?

Yikes, that is fucking terrible lol. Still aint ever bought one, still not ever gonna buy one. At least last time around they put some effort into it in fairness and I picked up a couple of the games for it on trade. This one is like if you found a chick who could sorta pass for Scarlett Johannson on a dating site and when you met up with her it was Weiler's mom.

Every year that SE box is dog shit and every year a few people try to defend it so have at it, chumps.

Last night we participated in hard core board game action with Ticket to Ride.  Ticket to Ride has one of the worst tutorials I've ever played which mainly felt like your dad "teaching" you by playing all your moves for you and then rebuking you when you try to pick up and look at the game pieces.  Fortunately, the game play isn't all that hard to pick up and we were hard at work swearing at our crap card draws and at one another for messing up our routes.  First round, we had to split into two games but then Jimbo bailed on us so we did the second game of a full five players which was a slightly different experience.  Obviously not fast paced by any means but it was fun and now I've finally played the board game sensation that was sweeping the nation, uh, six years ago.  I rate the game three City of New Orleans and a Casey Jones and we'll probably play it again one of these days.

Tonight we play Monaco by which I mean other people will play Monaco 'cause I have other plans.

Yeah that Square bundle is absolute trash. No wonder they didn't announce any games unlike Europe's bundle where they mentioned Just Cause 3.

You've gotta be good at gambling to make out with those Square Enix packs, or never buy Humble bundles ever (but chances are if you're buying these mystery packs, you also buy from Humble).

Only real value I've seen in these things are the FF games, which you'll end up losing out on if you buy every mystery box (the amount of money saved is cancelled out by the money lost buying the shitty packs).

Multiple people on Group Buys are selling them at a loss, for $8, and no one's buying them lol.

Thinking you can expect a refund on a mystery box is like assuming you can ask for a refund with your bookie because he guaranteed you would win on a bet. You would be a dumbass to make the bet and a double dumbass to expect a mulligan.

Admittedly, I'm a dumbass :wall: . But hey - I figured it couldn't hurt to ask - they could be dumbasses too.

I think people have gotten refunds on Humble Monthlies before (as a one time thing) so, hey, doesn't hurt to ask. Humble actually wants your money monthly though whereas maybe SE feels like they can afford to screw you over once or twice a year and you'll forget the sting by the time the next mystery bundle comes around.

Of course, if I had managed to hoist this worthless shit off on someone, I'd be saying "No takebacks!" too.

I assure you, I will NOT forget the sting.

I didn't think the Square Mystery would actually have duplicates. They never did before.

This is stupid on their behalf, I can't imagine anyone would want to buy it knowing it truly can be anything, even games they already gave away

Morans gonna Moran. Its groupees business model. It works. They will carrot you with something and you will think, "ill buy it one more time"

you can post your laura croft guardian of light key here and at this point it probably not even be lurked

Yeah, if the games weren't so long I would have actually been tempted to do one more last night. First game was the usual learning curve of a board game, but second game everyone was in their groove. Game can get somewhat boring in between turns, especially when no one is blocking or screwing over other people, but it was fun. It's been a good bro week so far. Red Faction Guerilla had me giggling like an annoying Youtuber when I started wrecking with the sledgehammer (and before everyone else caught on that it was a one hit kill OP weapon). We'll see how Monaco is tonight.

The worst part of the SE box is;

Wow. I can imagine them sitting in a meeting going "okay, we have these games that literally NOBODY buys anymore even when they're on sale for 5 bucks or less, how can we get people to pay for them anyway?"

They gave refunds for the Euro bundles. Keep pushing, I say (although it's probably a waste of time).

Anytime mystery bundles are involved there is a very real chance for garbage. That S-E one was garbage for sure. The GMG ones are mainly garbage. At least a monthly or 2 has been meh. I try to not do it much anymore.

and it worked. Some people are buying them because they can't help themselves.

especially when no one is blocking or screwing over other people, but it was fun.
I did more blocking the first game but, with five people, it felt like any turn I spent blocking instead of building my own routes, I was setting myself up to be screwed. Not even because someone was actively trying to block me but just because we had five people all trying to link Chicago. Not sure if others felt the same.

Oh yeah, second game was all about setting yourself up. I had a Chicago to Atlanta route and thanks to Parallacks I had to go up to Toronto and come back down. Add to that, the most efficient routes for my other cities involved specific color trains that were hard to come by (fuck you blue and green) and I really didn't have time to block anyone. Other than the very last set of trains I put down on my last turn, every other route I took over last night was directly connected to my tickets, so it was a super efficient game for me. Had I take that second extra ticket instead of chickening out I might have beaten Weiler.

Game is going to be amazing, just like Destiny 1.

Don't you know....I buy every AAA game day one...noob
That's why it's hard for any of us to take your recommendations seriously.

I'm probably going to fakey it though, even though I stopped paying attention to Destiny shortly after it was revealed to be a console exclusive back at E3 1986 or whenever it was. I do like me some co-op shooters.

Also, hit me up for MEAmp Fisser. I'm usually playing every evening before and after bronight events. Running silvers right now because all my guns are ass and the combo explosions are woefully underpowered.
