Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

Anyone have any suggestions on how to get a clerk to check the back for stuff? I mean, I found something that my local Walmart supposedly has 15 of, but I only found one on the floor today by accident, and I don't know if they'll believe me if I say "I checked this site online that says you have 15 in stock."

1)Show some leg

2)Dont talk about Brickseek

3)Throw some glitter at them

4) ?Profit?

Barring that, ask nicely and dont be a cock about it. Doesn't mean they will actually check(opposed to going through the motion), but I have never had anyone outright refuse. You could also go to the CS or package pickup to ask if they show whatever in stock. Still doesnt mean they have it though.

Wowza, they apparently have 20+ Wii remotes at a store near me. There's no way stock is screwed up that bad unless somebody stole the whole case. Should be interesting seeing what the employees excuse for them not having any in stock is. On a related note, you would think the employees would take every chance they can get to go to the back to look for stuff, as it gives them a reason to get away from customers, if only for like 5 minutes.

The clerks at my store are complete assholes, though. I've spoken to the head cashier, who's a really nice person, and she's told me that many workers refuse to help customers because they're lazy. Night shifts, eh. Go figure.

Thanks though.

Use the walmart app. Sometimes the app will show items in stock that are not on the shelf. It's more legit than brickseek in the employees eyes.

Saw the following in my local Walmart (NY 12303)

Toad Wiimotes - $25

Zelda Fight Pads - $12

Nintendo Brand Nunchucks- $10

A few other off brand 3ds and Wii/Wii U stuffs

I've seen at least 6 Luigi Wiimotes at all 3 stores that I've stopped at.  The place I actually bought two at the clerk looked at another place to see if they had any of the Mario left.  They were sold out but cool of him to make the effort without even asking.

The item doesn't even show up in their website anymore, at least not sold by them. :(
If you have the app, try the scanning the upc as suggested above (generated through brickseek) and select the "find it store" tab when the results come up. The toad Wii motes are no longer online in the app but when I chose to find it it in store, it comes up

Went to a Walmart next town over showing 18 in stock of the Xbone $15 controllers. None to be found out the floor. Did find a helpful employee who looked up sku and went to look in back unsuccessfully. But, brought back another employee to look elsewhere.

Was able to purchase 2. He said that was the max he could sell me which waa gine. All I wanted was 2.

Yeah there's a town 30 miles from me that has 3 in stock for 15 feel like going but then I don't I know I can sell them for 30 though so it'll be cool.

Max they can sell my ass. Unless it was a manager (store manager that is), there is no limit to quantity items at Walmart especially on Clearance items. Don't let these people try to stop you from buying more.

Following up on my earlier post...

Went to Walmart yesterday, app still showed "In Stock" for the wii remote plus, asked an employee in the electronics area if they had any of them in stock. Some other employee randomly decides to come over, looks at my phone with the stock status, smirks, and just says "nah man, we don't have any in stock". So somehow they lost 20+ wii remotes. Only at walmart can over $600 - $900 worth of merchandise go unaccounted for, and they just act all nonchalant about it. There's shrink/theft/whatever you call it... but 20+ controllers just being lost. I mean come on :roll: I know that the back stock room is super unorganized and they don't bin stuff correctly, or at all, but stop being lazy and go to the back of the store to check for 10 minutes.

Did you show them Brickseek or Walmart.com? If you showed them Brickseek then he's likely telling the truth. Brickseek has become incredibly unreliable in terms of stock but is great on prices.

It could be true. I went looking for the Samsung 128gb SD cards a few weeks ago and were sold out at 4 stores near me except for one which showed 18. I asked and they said it was an inventory error and have been trying to fix it for awhile. It sounded like other people have asked before me and the workers were pretty helpful so it didn't seem like they were setting aside for themselves. The stock amount didn't change at all so it makes sense.

So grabbed few camo xbox 1 controllers at a store that had like 10. I really need the Star Wars ps4 controller though. I'd be willing to swap and pay some extra $ for one if someone grabbed some up here. Send me a pm.

still $35 around me, definitely gonna pick up a few if its reach 15

Sent from my SM-N900 using Tapatalk

Still $35 here. Picked up one earlier this month for my Switch. Subscribed to updates so if it hits $15 I'm gonna grab a few. My store has almost 40 in stock.

Thanks for the heads up
I think that one store that had them at $15 will be an anomaly and we shouldn't expect a general price drop to that amount. I think that one store has a department manager on a trip of some kind. :)

The Wii U Pro controllers are gone from my location, but there are still UBoost battery packs for the Wii U gamepad. Just $10, too! Maybe I'll break down and get one in a few days.

Almost everything wii-u clearance was gone from all of my stores as of a couple days ago except a few sensor bars.  New non-gaming stuff has already taken its place.  Maybe it was just an el hoardo in my area.

Went during lunch today to look for the 7 xbox one $15 controllers, found one pushed in the back and got it, asked if they had anymore and a lady tells me "no, I know for a fact because we just sold 6 an hour ago"

Oh well win some lose some.

I remember when the El Hoardo meme started here(pre 2010 or so, target clearance thread I think). People trying to get pictures. Fun time, people in different cities with similar stories. Now you see references here and there(other sites) about El Hoardo. It's like the gamer's mothman.

Is he good or bad? What are his intentions? Will we ever know?

The Man(?) The Myth. The Legend.

EL HOARDO.

Went to get 128gb samsung micro sd, BS showed 11 at $9,I could only find 1. Also got Knack for $2, Wii U sensor bar for $2, and Animal Crossing w/Ammibo for $5. Good Walmart outing today.

Saw a CoD Black Ops Prestige edition for $70. I was thinking the RCXD with the cameras might be cool, but not for $70.
The camera sucks. Got one when new, they were bad 7 years or whatever ago. And it eats batteries as bad as the Game Gear did.

I'm pretty sure I still have several of the cars laying around somewhere from when they were $15 at BB.

$70 for it isn't as bad as the AC3 LEs I saw for $120 the other day at Walmart though.

Like the other post said, not worth it. Major battery hog and it already takes 8(?) In the car alone. The remote takes a bunch too. Camera does suck but it works.

Sorry, here...

Wii U sensor bar

Animal Crossing w/Amiibo

128 micosd was brickseek'd couple posts up. Hope this helps. Walmarts around me are discounting a bunch of old stock randomly so be on the lookout.
FYI Amiibo Festival Animal Crossing is $10 at Gamestop right now: http://www.gamestop.com/wii-u/games/animal-crossing-amiibo-festival/122857

Does anyone know the Toad Wii remote plus sku?  I tried looking through the thread but there are a lot of pages.  Brickseek is not that accurate anymore?  Download the walmart app and use that instead?
