Just went into a gamestop and asked about the values and what they have in the system is different than in the app. Mafia 3 is trading in for 13 now.

Dammit. That's the game I was trying to unload, but storms all weekend. Today...perfect weather.

Of course, my trade card balance is still showing the pre-transaction numbers. Were I to try and push it, most likely they'll just cancel future orders, or even the original order, right?
Just placed 2 online orders; nothing unusual from the first order but the second one apparently went through despite me not having enough credit on a trade card. Does trade card credit deduct instantly when purchasing online?

Reason I'm asking is because I planned on breaking payment into 2 cards since my first card wouldn't cover the entire order but apparently the system prompted me told me I had enough funds on the card. In addition, I have already gotten an order confirmation from the second order as well.

I'm quite sure it might be canceled but here's to hoping it doesn't.
My experience (100+ online purchases) has been the website can check to see if you have enough credit on a trade card to pay for an order but doesn't actually deduct trade credit until the order I believe ships (could be a different trigger before it ships but there 100% is a delay from order placed to trade credit taken from a card). That is why you need to manually track how much you have left on a trade card if you are making multiple online orders. Basic example, If you place two separate orders, first a $20 order and then a $25 order in the span of 10 minutes using a card that has only $30 in trade credit, both orders will tell you they went through (since the system will see you have $30 on the card both times since the first order hasn't taken the $20 in trade credit from the card yet) but only 1 will actually process and ship, the other will be canceled since you actually only have $10 left on the card once the first once finishes processing/shipping. So you can see if you have a trade card with a large balance and want to place many orders in a short period of time, you need to manually keep a running tally on how much is left on the card so you don't place orders you don't actually have funds for that will ultimately be cancelled.

Hopefully that was fairly clear, sorry if it is too wordy. And that explanation is with the GS website in a normal state, all bets are off with the current state

Have $500 left in credit and looking for some Gamestop to Gamestop boomerangs. Time to do some research before the 50% ends.

Are inventory queries still FUBAR too?
The detailed one with the Low Stock and In Stock is giving 503 Server Unavailable errors. I wouldn't be surprised if that one is permanetly gone. The location only one is still kinda working. I had to patch the code because they misconfigured their server. I can get data now after the patch but it is extremely slow and I am getting a lot of errors processing because it is misconfigured.

GS Tech guys have to be the dumbest shits in the business.

Does anybody know if the Plants vs Zombies TIV changed? I'm at work so I can't call them. Posting on CAG is a little more discrete. 😀

36 hours later and all because they wanted to just remove the swag section from their rewards catalog:[attachment=26480:IMG_1898.JPG]

The values on the app are just for you to check them. They're not going to honor them in store.

No points from Sunday or Monday.

No transactions even show up. It only shows that I "checked in" from my bedroom to a GS 1.5 miles away.

Tried buying multiple Uber cards but the girl denied me more than 2. Said I had to be a corporation to buy in bulk and with trade credit. They would be more flexible if I was paying by cash 🙄

That's weird mine worked on the app. I know online it probably won't let you save trades because they might be changing the value.
I meant for the last year or so some others here and I can't access our saved trade values page on the app or website. That page loads an empty page for us and says we have nothing saved. When we attempt to save something it says it can't be saved...this happened to us on our 100th save or so....

Unless ur saying ur page has always worked and u have over 100 saved?
Afaik there's some sort of scripting error that won't let us view our saved list so we can delete stuff coz their programmers only allowed 2 digits

Corporations use trade credit now? Maybe that's why Trump won't release his tax returns.

"These flips are going to be huuuge!!!"

The gamestop by my work honored the values I had saved on my phone. I wasn't flipping anything, but was just trading some games I saw good values on with the extra 40% bonus. He called someone before he did it and I guess they gave him the ok. I threw him a pro renewal for his help as he manually added all the bonuses. Probably a rare occurrence, but was thankful to get what I did.

Last time I tried to use the app trade-in values, the dude first thought I was trying to cheat by using a screenshot then he accused me of lying somehow implying that I manipulated the app values to show higher than in store.

I backed out of the trade, cancelled all my pre-orders and bought a shitty $0.99 game, while the dude kept apologizing for the language. Needless to say, shitty review to end the whole fiasco - not that it made much difference.

Edit: TL;DR - I dont use the app for anything except to do mobile check-in, its a piece of garbage.

TO store or the TO Mall?

Talked to a friend that works at my local Gamestop. His district manager sent an email to the whole district about trade in promo abuse this past weekend.  That going forward, trades should be used to pay off the game the promo applies to, and then you would need to start a new transaction for the rest of the trade ins.

Hope you guys don't hear similar things in the coming weeks.

I've felt like we've heard this story many times after a bonus/bump and nothing follows.

It's just a over zealous DM in 1 district.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd what district was this?

I've had employees sell the preorder many times during trade promotions with the line "just put $5 down to trigger the bonus!" so I have to say I find this to be utter horse flop.

Question I guess for those of you that work at Gamestop:

Suppose I pre-order and fully pay for a game that has a trade bonus.  I don't have any intention on playing said game.  Instead, I never pick it up and simply use that credit to pick up the game I really want when it comes out.  Would that hurt your "score"?

edit: what about moving the cash to another pre-order?  Picking the game up and then exchanging it a week or so later for another game?
