Versus Squad - The guys that made Nation Red made this game. It's pretty much a direct sequel. They deserve the support and it's just as solid as ever. They've added a nice set of defense structures you can buy and place between rounds.
Thanks. I had a lot of fun with Nation Red, both single player and co-op, so I picked this one up.

Debating stepping outside of my price range for a game I really want...debating divinity os, witcher 3, salt and sanctuary (although that seems prime for a humble monthly), doom, or pillars of eternity. Sale is so bad I think this might be the first time ever i spend more than 10 bucks on a game through steam

nice deal. july 4th maybe?`although that means it should be 74 cents, but no one would pay that...
Looks like you are infact correct

EDIT:

It also looks like he tweeted it to CAGS official twitter so that must be how it got posted so quickly on the main page.

I want to say Salt and Sanctuary as I really want it bundled and I would really appreciate the sacrifice but if your going to cross a price boundary I think you should get the best bang (aka most hours) for your buck... The Witcher 3.

(Note: I've played none of them so no first hand knowledge here.)

Note the collector's edition of Sin comes with two copies (each) of 3 games... If you find a partner it could be less than 10 bucks a game.)

Salt and Sanctuary is really good, but you're getting all the bang for your buck with Witcher 3, and DOOM is fantastic for witcher breaks.

Huh, you can still get cards today. I won't be able to get today's cards in my main account before the sale ends, but it's something.

Out of that list, based purely on price vs expected price in the future, I would pick DOOM. Bethesda so you won't see it bundled. Already had a MSRP drop and at 50% off. Even older titles like Wolfenstein The New Order and The Old Blood are still only 50% off. I would expect 50% off may be the lowest it goes on steam for at least another couple years though it might see a further msrp drop at some point.

Don't get Doom on steam, it's frequently on sale at other places for the same price or slightly cheaper. Get Witcher 3 if you don't want to wait any longer, since it's the only place selling the steam version.

If I remember right, you liked BG. So You'll love PoE.

Doom is amazing. If you like FPS games, Doom is the way to go. And as a plus, you can play MP, since there are still people playing it. I liked MP too.

I'm waiting for the Witcher 3 to be a bit lower, since I'm not in a hurry to play another huge rpg, I'm still playing Dragon's Dogma and some others

Divinity is GREAT, but it may go lower because the sequel launches in september.

Since we're in the last 24 hours of this horrible Steam Sale...

Any all-times low, hidden gem, and/or great last minute buys here?

Of course I got a Foil on new alt so I can't do anything with it until a few days before they poof.

It's okay though, I'm still hoarding a couple Summer Sale 2013 cards.

I have Quake 1 & Scourge of Armagon (from retail)...

....but how is Dissolution of Eternity?

For some reason, back in the day, never bought that.

Steam sales were awful this year, let's talk about ROCK,FLAG AND EAGLES and the HAPPY 4TH OF JULY.

On an another note, I might be paying $100 for a blue yeti today so people won't hear my mic dropping 24/7 from my hand while playing games.

Should I purchase a shock mount for it?

"Bleh" @ mention of a Yeti. All I can think of is that GameStop bundle w/ Blackout Yeti + Watch Dogs 2 that I just missed out for $40, which was sitting in my cart when the deal died. :(

This along the other times I didn't have money for all the other blue yeti deals I missed out on.

Saw one of my local gamestops a couple days ago have that bundle wished I knew before and would have tried to get that one when I still had my order valid and not cancelled yet.

I haven't tried the HF: TR Multiplayer stuff yet. Any good?
It's a bunch of multi-objective missions for co-op play (though you can play solo if you want). "Infiltrate the base, hack the computer, get the convoy route, stop the convoy", that sort of thing. You have your own PC for it that you can use the money/xp you earn to buy crates for weapon unlocks, gear, etc. You can have four different Resistance fighters in your little catalog so you can use the xp to build them differently: one with stealth skills for soloing, one with heavy weapon skills, a support type, etc. Weapon/gear unlocks are universal between them which is nice.

All in all, it's more HF:R game play so how "good" it is depends a lot on how much you liked the basic game play.

Is Black Desert Online worth buying?

Seeing some complaints about pay to win thanks to micro transactions.

Is Elder scrolls online a better alternative?
BDO is not p2w. P4C

ESO is better with friends or for endgame PVE as BDO has no PVE endgame (besides gathering stuff, building a cash cow empire, pvp, and/or pve world bosses)

I'd say it's worth the $10 base game at least. The Explorer pack is a good deal on paper but, if you get bored in a month, it's not such a great investment.

It's not really "P2W" in the sense that you cash purchase the best weapons and armor and waste the no-cash plebs. More like it's grind-oriented and you can pay to circumvent part of that or for "convenience" things like extra inventory. For example, I was leveling up horses for breeding and you can buy a costume to give you +20% exp towards leveling horses. That's obviously helpful but I don't consider it "P2W". Or getting item dye is absurd but you can get a 30-day item that lets you have unlimited use of all the dye items... until the item runs out.

Combat is fun although you need to be near level 45-50ish before it's really a challenge. There's a lot of "life skill" stuff (gathering, fishing, farming, etc) if that's your bag. I'm not a big fan of games with a "Oh, the REAL game begins at level 50..." curve to them which this game has. I can't give it a full-throated endorsement but I think the base game wouldn't be wasted.

I actually liked the HF:R SP's gameplay + gunplay, so....sounds like it could be some fun.

You can make a private game, set it to Easy to start and then just Ready, Start Mission to try it solo. I recommend the Triage or Burnt Offering missions as fairly easy to solo and use stealth if you can't straight up shoot your way through. Even if you fail a mission, you'll still get some money and exp each time.

ESO (base-game) is "meh". Beta tested it + played during a Tamriel Unlimited free weekend.

It is loaded w/ fantasy tropes/cliches from characters, quests, and everything. It's predictable as heck and lacks depth. Even Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim did some plot-twists + had at least some interesting characters + storylines - ESO felt like it had NONE of that.

Also, ESO is loaded w/ typical MMO questing. So, if you've done plenty of fantasy RPG's and/or MMO's - yeah, you might not like it.

Combat was weird + unpolished b/c you're not sure if it's trying to be MMO-like (which it does) or feel like a Skyrim, since it's a weird mix of the two. Takes time to get used to it. Don't know if combat controls been overhauled since, but I really hope it has been!

Can't speak on ESO: Morrowind expansion or any of the DLC's.
