Coldheart is worth it for the raid but yeah overall hard to justify spending the extra $7.50. Also Coldheat can be had via RNG.

If I recall the corporate speak, if you have the preorder Coldheart, you have access to acquiring it from RNG. Other people won't be able to until December. It's a weird issue to say the least

I seriously doubt we'd see these lower, but there is a slight chance we might get some sort of 'spend $100 or more, get $x back". Unlikely, though. But they're not going to undercut this sale this coming week.

A 20% off code went out last week. I wonder if that means we won't get a code like last yr

I think there is a chance. Last year on Black Friday there was a universal 10% code that every US PSN account could use once. About two weeks later YMMV 20% codes were mailed out. I don't think those codes have any bearing on each other.

Although, just because were about due another universal 10% code that doesn't mean it has to happen on Black Friday weekend. It could happen during the Christmas sales.

Well, I just learned you can transfer PS3 Borderlands characters to PS4 Handsome collection and easily pop the hardest to get trophies [all challenges, etc].

But I don't own BL2 for my ps3 anymore... which means I need to buy it to do this.  Which sucks.   And it means I have absolutely no desire to do the challenges on PS4 for obvious reasons [I remember how long it took me to find Jenkins, and it was -brutal-].

Anyone feel like loaning me a copy of BL2 for PS3 for an hour?

You could buy a used copy from Gamestop. You have typically 7 days to return it for any reason; holiday period allows returns until January 15th.

Yeah, this is incredibly disappointing. I've been hoarding PSN credit and coupons waiting for the Xmas deals. I'm sure we'll have more regular weekly sales and at least one flash sale before the end of the year, but goddamn. You can buy gift cards with digital copies of the games on them at Target and Walmart now. You can also buy digital games directly from Amazon, who will probably have comparable deals to Walmart and Target to get people to buy the games there instead.

Not sure if I should pick up the Gold edition, the Standard version at Walmart for $29 on BF, or just wait for it to drop even more.

I'm kind of iffy. I don't know if I should even grab the game. I didn't finish Unity or Syndicate because I got a bit bored and they also take some time to finish. I hear Origins is different though.

Does anyone want to provide any feedback on it? The Egypt setting seems more appealing to me than previous settings.

It's better for me because my son and I can both play with one game. That to ME is worth two games. In addition I play several games at the same time and not having to get up to change games is awesome. I also own multiple consoles which makes playing a game in different rooms very convenient with digital games. That makes them worth the digital tax.

The game has a completely different feel. The combat plays like Dark Souls mechanically, and the game overall feels like a true RPG

Plus the Season Pass content sounds really cool. If the Anubis battle event was any indicator, the myths expansion looks like it'll be great!

The people buying the physical disc are the reason digital cost more. They think they're saving a dollar or two when they're costing gamer billions. They're nothing but underpaid workers for Gamestop and BB. Rant over. Get rid of physical so we can have steam like prices. It's coming whether people like it or not. The faster the more we all save.

Boxes also take inventory space so retailers are like to lower prices to push them out to bring in newn inventory. Digital takes up no space.

Plus the Season Pass content sounds really cool. If the Anubis battle event was any indicator, the myths expansion looks like it'll be great!

The melee combat feels a bit like a Souls game but there's no stamina meter so you can mash away while occasionally changing between light, heavy and charged strikes depending on if the enemy has a shield or not and how big it is. Combat is better than the previous games for sure though. I enjoyed my time with Origins and the environments look spectacular but it is a "checklist" kind of game with little to be gained from exploration away from marked places on the map.

About what I expected for digital copy prices. Just going to use amazon to get the physical games cheaper on black friday. what i really want though is a new 4k hdr tv. I looked into it and the tcl p607 seems to be the best budget tv. It doesn't look like it is going to go on sale though.

I'm glad they make games we can both enjoy. I've realized that with the limited time I have for gaming a guided experience is best for me. Glad you enjoyed BoTW. I tried and couldn't. I'm determined to force myself to finish it some day though.
