Unless you're new to PS4 and then all this is decent. I am the opposite on the Xbox...it's like thanks for all the free Live games I already know.

My backlog is over 430 on Xbox and over 230 on PC. Not having much on PSN isn't really an issue at this point

I have around $70 in PSN credit now.

Think I've done like 4 $8 for $10 deals. Got some cheap credit thanks to sonyrewards. Paid like $5-$10 for $30credit.

Then have 20% code I got with my pro, so just waiting for a good sale.

My backlog is a plenty. Doesn’t make me feel any different about Microsoft treating me better this holiday season so far than Sony.

Even this week’s regular XBL sale has more that I’m interested in than the past three weeks of PSN sales.

But to each their own.

seems like an overreaction

buy credit, buy games, rarely play, never look back

I am surprised that there hasn't been a good VR sale since Thanksgiving. They must have sold a lot of headsets, getting the new converts hooked seems like a good idea and digital is pretty much a must for VR. Maybe after Christmas.

You’re surprised they haven’t had a good VR themed sale since the one a week and a half ago?

I’m just waiting for the cancellation tweet saying CSH for Vita has been canceled. It’s taken SO LONG to get done.

I feel like I’m in the minority with Hob, but I just didn’t think it was a quality game. Technically it’s a buggy mess. I’ve been told the frame rates are better after updates, but when I played I swear it dipped into the 10’s. It’s pretty unacceptable for the type of game it is.

The camera angles are often obstructed by the environment. You’ll need to make a jump or see an enemy and a tree in the foreground will block your view.

The game is way too long. This is a personal opinion, but it could have been chopped in half and I could have forgiven a lot of the other shortcomings, but it just gets so tedious and long-winded.

Lastly, as of me completing the game about a month ago both gold trophies for completing both endings are glitched and not acquired for doing what is required.

People have been talking about how it belongs in year end lists. I don’t get it. I loved Torchlight 2 and thought it was fun and tight. Hob just wasn’t. (Also, don’t watch any YouTube videos of it if you decide to play on PS4. The silky smooth frame rate on PC will piss you off.)
Wow, thanks for that. I hate framerate issues, so that's a non starter for me. Knowing the type of game it was, I wanted to know as little as possible about it, so I stayed away from comment pages on review sites, & hadn't seen reviews pay too much attention to the technical shortcomings. Seeing a silky smooth video only to get 10fps dips would indeed piss me off, lol. Most of what I had seen was mediocre 6-8/10 review scores, so I wouldn't say you're in the minority. I expected Torchlight 1&2 scores & technical prowess, but glad I waited. I was merely debating if the folks that said there was zero direction & hated it, were maybe just not fans of that aspect, or if there was more to their criticism that I would agree with. I do think I'd agree with you if those issues are prevalent, though. Thanks for the reply.

Not a rockstar month for Plus, but I am interested to try out Forma at least. I already own Syberia collection and Kung Fu Panda (for my son, I swear!), otherwise I would be happy with those as well.

So.... pretty much every review goes this way. ouch.

2.5 min review, which is about as long as each level

No Trophy support??? I thought all games on the PS4 had to have them?

Don't they get around the trophy requirements by calling VR stuff "experiences" and not "games"?

Wonder how well Jak X Racing holds up. Tempting with no Nintendo console to get my Mario Kart type fix.

Dragon's Crown Pro is coming to PS4 next Spring:

It's time to bravely venture back to face the horrors of Wallace's Underground Labyrinth, battle monstrous orcs in Bilbaron Subterranean Fortress, and go on a magic carpet ride in the Mage's Tower because Dragon's Crown Pro is coming to the West in Spring 2018!

This remaster of 2013's acclaimed 2-D hack and slash couch co-op, beat 'em up action game from Vanillaware and ATLUS will be returning to the PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®4 Pro in 2018 for $49.99 USD and $64.99 CAD! With updated visuals and presentation for the current-gen, hunting for treasure in the Kingdom of Hydeland has never been more rewarding.

Dragon's Crown Pro retains all the gameplay elements of the original game, including Vanillaware's gorgeous 2-D visual flair and character design, but adds current-gen upgrades.

Dragon's Crown Pro features:
  • Visuals Fit for an Ancient Dragon - With beautifully refined artwork and 4K resolution support, Vanillaware's signature art style will come alive as you bludgeon, cleave, shoot, and loot through the dungeons of Hydeland.
  • A Rousing Adventurer's Soundtrack - A newly recorded soundtrack by fabled composer Hitoshi Sakimoto, supported by a live orchestra, will accompany daring treasure hunters on their search for the Dragon's Crown.
  • Glorious Presentation - Rejoice because English and Japanese audio options will now be available! Plus, game text will be localized in French, Italian, German, and Spanish.
  • All the Royal Bells and Whistles - If you already own Dragon's Crown, your saves won't go to waste. There will be online cross-play & cross-save compatibility with existing PS3 and Vita versions. Oh, and all patches, features, and the Storyteller Voice Pack DLC from the original game will be included!
  • Four Player Frenzy - With the fun local couch co-op and online multiplayer you remember, up to four players can experience countless hours battling together.

I wonder when Sega is going to realize they are leaving money on the table by not making a port of House of the Dead or Panzer Dragoon for PSVR.

Won't lie Dragon's Crown is the first game that makes me wish I actually had a PS4 pro and 4k tv. I'd love to see it at that resolution.

REALLY? Dragon's Crown is? Not Horizon Zero Dawn?
Can't even tell if you're being sarcastic lol, but really I just love vanillaware's art. It is seriously some beautiful stuff.

I wonder if their other games will get PS4 ports, I'd love to see Muramasa as well.

So each Jak game is $15 which is like $60 if you buy them separate.  Or you can spend $40 and get them all.  How the fuck is that pricing fair if you just want one game lol?

It's called a bundle and usually get a decent discount if you do it. Not the first time this has happened.

I don't recall that steep of a discount with a bundle at least in the history of me shopping on the PSN store. Usually I see maybe 5 bucks or so. Guess I have never noticed.

Yeah those images don't do much for me to be honest, I mean the game is great looking but it doesn't wow me. For whatever reason it's always 2D art that ends up being visually impressive to me, never 3D stuff. Even back when 720/1080 was taking off the first thing that actually made me stop and go "whoa" was some random HD anime lol.

There is just something great about crisp 2D art.

I sort of understand, but I have art books and art prints, but 3D can't be experienced that way.

I assume Dragon's Crown on the Vita was the superior of the two versions? Or were it and the PS3 exactly the same?
It's been a couple of years since I played but I seem to remember framerate drops on the vita version while the PS3 always ran fine for me. I did prefer that version overall though because you have to interact with the world for certain gameplay things (runes on a wall or commanding your little thief man to open chests) and on the vita you could simply tap the screen where as on PS3 you had to use a cursor with the analog stick.
