Anyone need a Gold Edition Far Cry 5 for PS4?  I have a couple extras I bought for friends who backed out lol....and I want retail (GCU price) + shipping.  LMK.

Did anyone else pick this up? I'm not seeing any uPlay codes in the box anywhere. The steelbook is empty and the other side of the cardboard piece it's in just has the map and soundtrack (on the unboxing videos for console versions there is a retail copy of the game here)

 
It’s tied to your Uplay account so you have to sign into the Uplay client and download it

You should really stop getting games for your friends if they keep flaking on you. Noticed you had quite a few posts lately of different games for the exact reason each time. Either you're being too nice or you're being taken advantage of, but best bet is to probably just return them.

FNAC is a French retailer who has a reputation for terrible packaging and poor customer service for international orders. Surprised to hear that they did a good job with this.

My Amazon UK order arrived on Monday. The outer box was totally beat up. It had tearing, holes and the seal was coming off. Luckily Bandai Namco had it double boxed at the factory, so that saved it.

Really? My previous order from fnac was wonderwoman ultimate steelbook and it coem fine too. I guess the fact it come with a music box that namco individually boxed it at factory instead of usa where they put 2 in one box so retailer have to open it and box it again. Also the king edition box is so strong if it is sold by usa amazon i won't be surprising if they just snap a shipping label onto the king edition itself and ship it lol

Been mad busy. I'll update the thread in a few hours. nvm.  Accidentally ordered an extra Ni No Kunu II CE, I'll be returning it to gamestop. Got my Kings Edition incoming from Germany, Crash Bandicoot Wily Book coming in today.

It's funny how for the CE's that don't sell out right away people always turn up with copies they 'bought for friends' or 'ordered on accident'.

I usually lean towards slightly pessimistic, but it also happens when CEs sell out, except for the extremely low stock CEs like Nier: Automata or something.

Namco Bandai said they cancelled my NNK2 CE then it showed up at my house anyway. I got charged that day so I sent it back to them but sometimes it does happen.

 
I’m curious what the ratio of NNK2 CEs are that are damaged and are good. I had to go to different retailers and buy two to get a pristine copy. This was the first time I preordered two (accidentally, that’s another story) and I’m glad I did. My first copy from Best Buy was obliterated and literally had dirt all over it. Second copy from GameStop is perfect. Take a guess which is which.

To the best of my knowledge in researching and visual inspection of mine, this seller has legitimate figures of him for $40 which beats the SE price when considering shipping. He's my first Kai figure and now I want snake to accompany him haha.

He sits about as tall horizontally as a vertical figure, so about as long as my outstretched hand not including the tail. Maybe about 8-10" without checking online? He looks great on my desk and I get a kick out of the knife you can prop in his mouth for extra badassery. ;)

Mine came undamaged from BBY. The box was much bigger than it needed to be with plenty of padding. Maybe it's just distribution center issues?

Yep, my Best Buy order had plenty of air pouches and a large outer box and arrived fine. My co-worker received a Gamestop copy and his was also shipped just fine in a large box with air pouches. No dents or dings anywhere on either CE box.

My order from BB came in a big box with lots of air packing but a corner was smashed and the box has a cut in the top, like a person opening a case used a box cutter down the middle. It was also missing the pre-order bonus Figpin, although the packing slip said it was in the box.

All in all an unacceptable shipment. I called and they offered to replace the CE, but no pin, so $10 credit.

Any dents? I'm growing more annoyed with USPS/Amazon UK the more I hear about people's King's coming in perfect shape since my shipping box was underfilled and took a beatings the way over.

None that I've noticed, but since it is double boxed, I find it hard to believe that any dents came from shipping. If yours was dented it probably came dented from the manufacturer. I assume the same with the NA version as well. My Best Buy one came with some creases and minor scuffs and it was loaded with air packets.

No it came from shipping. They under packed it so the outer box was partially torn open and it was partly caved in. It was definitely fuck ed in shipping :(
 
Did you guys order from Amazon UK with expedited shipping? I ordered with whatever was cheapest, and they're telling me expected date of April 5. via the Amazon site, mine is in New Jersey as of yesterday (I'm in FL) but searching directly via the shipper's website (Aramex) all they say is the record was created but doesn't actually mention they even have the package yet.

It doesn't seem like it - the art book is right up against the edges of that box in the King's Edition. If the outer box has a smashed corner, that book is likely to have one, too. I saw one unboxing where that was the case.

They'll replace it - it is more of a pain than ordering from the U.S., but they'll do it. If the item were cheaper, they'll often not bother to make you send it back, but I'm sure they will with that one.... which is kind of dumb given how much it will cost to ship it back. I ordered a large CE from there once and it arrived with a damaged item. The CE was around $100 U.S. and it cost between $60-$70 to ship it back.

I would say so. I find it quite annoying that a Best Buy employee on their official forums stated to a customer that because their shipped in the mail copy of NNK2 CE was damaged, next time they should do store pick up. I did store pick up, and the warehouse put the distribution sticker right on the CE box and shipped it naked. Of course the box is going to get thrown around and smashed.

The level of idiocy, incompetence, and overall lack of give a shit that we all are stuck with on a constant basis from these companies is staggering. As e-commerce has taken off and really dominated the market, these things have become common place due to companies attempting to cut costs and increase productivity. There are basically no companies that protect things the way that they actually should for any type of shipping.

My favorite part of buying a new book, game, or blu-ray is buying 5 more to return in order to get an undamaged one.

 
Received my NNK 2 Kings Edition from Rice Digital today. Came perfect. They shipped the original shipping box inside a bigger box with air packs in it. It’s pretty heavy.
