UPLAY Deals // UbiSoft Store Deals:

For anyone that has Ghost Recon: Wildlands UPLAY version (b/c maybe you bought it during the Razer 50% off sale?)...

GR: Wildlands - Season Pass = $5.94 (85% off) [this price is shown when it's in the cart].

B/c the Season Pass deal's a damn good "deal", if you need it...

GR: Wildlands - Base Game = $19.80 (67% off).

YMMV info: if you haven't used a 20% off coupon and have 100 UPLAY points to blow, you can might be able to stack that on top also.

I actually hadn't heard about that, interesting. That sucks too. So I guess my gripe then is when I've purchased a game, they can reach in and remove parts of it, like the music.

I understand not being able to sell new copies with an expired license. You make a deal, you live by it. But I, the consumer, am not aware of those contracts when I buy a game. That's just not reasonable. :joystick:

Also, if you haven't used a 20% off coupon and have 100 UPLAY points to blow - you can stack that on also.
Did you try this? Any time I've stacked a Uplay coupon, it replaced the store discount instead of stacking it.

$6 season pass worked though. I've heard the SP is kind of garbage so $6 is an appropriate price point for it.

Nope.

Hmmm, did they change this?

B/c before when something was on sale, I was able to stack the coupon right on top. I did that long ago w/ Zombi.

I can't order another 100 points for 20% off b/c I've done used a 20% off already before on this account. :(

Edited my post earlier to reflect the stacking as YMMV.

EDIT:

Someone on Reddit claimed it was able to stack & got the SP for like $4.75 earlier today.

Still, YMMV.

Hello,

We have discovered an issue with the keys issued through Humble widget for Dale Hardshovel. We're working with the developer to correct the issue as soon as possible and hope to have replacement keys issued very soon. I'm sorry for not being able to provide a more specific ETA. We will reach back out when we have more relevant information. Thank you for your patience and understanding in the interim.

Please don't hesitate to reach out in the meantime if you have any other questions or concerns.

Kindest regards,

Wildlands Season Pass is $6 on UPLAY.
It shows that it's $13.20 on the site, but in the cart it's showing up for $6.
Aww you shouldn't have told him - for once madjoki should know what it feels like when everyone else is being mysterious about a deal or glitch!

18€ in Europe and won't let me buy from US site. :(
I'm tempted to make the purchase just to rub it in your face. :p

Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition is getting cheaper. My Humble senses are tingling. I'm surprised it hasn't appeared in a monthly or a high tier of a bundle yet.

And with the talk of Ubisoft games, I again thank everyone for their sacrifices and look forward to seeing what freebies Ubisoft will offer in the future.

Random thought - how has Shadow Warrior 2 not been bundled yet? It came out 18 months ago. That is equivalent to a decade in Devolver years when it comes to time between release and first bundling.

I still have nightmares about missing that glitch shortly after SW2's release - it was something like $4 in a complete-the-set bundle if you owned the 2013 game.

SW2 hasn't even gone below 50% off on Steam or Humble yet (glitches aside). Stark contrast from the original which hit 75% off 3 months after release. Absolutely does feel like a potential Monthly game, probably as part of a three-headed early unlock like these last two months.

I had completely forgotten about the game until you brought it up. The first was terrific but I remember getting turned off by the addition of a loot system in the sequel and lost interest in checking it out.

Y U No WeN FREE

if there are any people who have just woken up from an 8 year coma skyrim is free on steam this weekend so you can play through like a tenth of the game

Wildlands is free weekend too and a better game so I would recommend that one over the xbox 360 era graphics of Skyrims.
I agree. Trailing people, unlocking areas, assassinating targets and liberating outposts. Wildlands is the first game that has this kind of gameplay. Not sure if it will catch on, pretty unique ideas.....

You could even spice things up by having towers you can climb to scout out regions!!!

Naw. Skyrim is a RPG masterpiece w/ tons of mods and whatnot.

Wildlands is good as a hybrid of an open-world GTA-style vehicle game/shooter/action-game/stealth-game with that Tom Clancy realism (for the most part - i.e. take a shot or a few, you're dead), if that is what you're looking for.

GR WL lacks the GR stuff that made previous GR games awesome - i.e. it ain't as tactical as GRAW and you don't have control over your entire squad anywhere like GRAW (if the squad is AI-based for you - since you can have AI or play Co-Op), nevermind the even older GR titles.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Gungeon hasn't been bundled either, right?

I think Devolver is starting to value their bigger and popular games.

Sorry, but GTA4 was great. Namely, in a much different way than most GTA's - which is why it can be such a divisive game in the franchise, depending on who you talk to.

It's not the typical GTA-great as many would expect, in a few ways. GTA4 is way more grounded with its gameplay b/c of the cover system. Also, its much more realistic + often more serious in its approach - but I think the story & character stuff just might be the best in the GTA series.

Granted, I still haven't finished GTA5, so...let's keep also that in mind too. I still need to finish that one up.

Since when do professional reviews matter? Aren't they the people who couldn't figure out the first puzzle in Wonderful 101 or how to jump in Cuphead or move and aim at the same time in Doom?

Well, sure - one can make the point that reviews don't always matter that much. Especially if games considered "masterpieces" don't line up w/ your personal opinions.

There are plenty of games that are probably underscored, IMHO - such as Vampire: Bloodlines (my favorite game of all time), Arcanum, Alpha Protocol and Homefront: The Revolution; especially since many games probably don't get re-reviewed after official patches are released, DLC's/expansions that can fix things, and/or things of that sort that can drastically change the landscape of a game.

One the other hands, if a game's scored high by lots of reviewers - yeah, gamers are going to take notice. Might make us curious about a game we might not have been interested in before; or could make us even more interested in a game than we already interested in.

That's still a lower Metacritic score than such console legends and PC legends such as...

Half-Life 1+ 2; Zelda: Breath; Zelda: Ocarina; Super Mario Galaxy 1+2; Halo: CE (Xbox); GTA4+5; Uncharted 2; Bioshock; Mass Effect 2; and Skyrim for starters.
GTA4 sucks, but besides that 95 is a great score and way higher than I expected GoW to get (thought it'd be in the mid 80s). I mean if you're saying "YeAh bUt It'S nOT aS GoOD As a ScORe As OCaRiNA of TImE" you can say the same thing about literally every other game on metacritic

should i buy ghost recon wildland gold edition for 33  for pc or xbox one

I think you need to learn to differentiate between what you like and what is demonstrably better.

Why are you bringing up mods? That's like me saying "This burger is better than that burger" and then you respond by saying "Well if you add bacon and replace the patty and bla bla bla.". I'm talking about the game as it is delivered by the devs, not fixes made by fans.

Wildlands has better graphics, shooting, driving, a better map, better cosmetics, better lore. You can play co-op. You want that in Skyrim? You have to buy another game. Wildlands is still being actively supported by the devs and they have events and just announced a year two season pass. When was the last time Skyrim released content or had an event? Oh yeah, they're too busy rehashing the same game in super HD or VR or 3d and then charging you for it again.

Like I said, if you prefer to roleplay being a stinky medieval peasant, Skyrim is the game for you, but Wildlands is far and away the superior game.

I saw an earlier post in this, but has anyone else tried using a 20% off coupon from Uplay points on Wildlands now that it's on sale?

Why not bring-up mods? One of the things that extended the life of Skyrim for tons of players has been that. What Skyrim does - and especially even more so true if you have all the DLC's (from going Legendary and/or Special Edition) - offers for an action-RPG is absolutely staggering, in terms of both amount of content and different quest-lines - you can easily get 100 hours out if this game in one play-through. Yes, some of the main quest-lines (especially in Dragonborn & Dawnguard) main storylines are really good here. And I certainly can't deny how awesome some of the Faction quests are, such as the Dark Brotherhood & stuff.

I like Wildlands from the Beta and Free Weekend - I do think it's good (like most open-world UbiSoft games), but I'm still disappointed with it. For me, it doesn't retain enough of the old GR stuff. As I said earlier, some of the stuff I dug about GR games - i.e. the tactical stuff and controlling party members stuff - is gone or severely limited. They have added some new stuff here to this franchise like the big open-world thing, stealth elements, and GTA-like 3rd-person vehicles and whatnot. It's good b/c of the sum of its parts work well and are executed well together; and there's a lot of moving parts, genre-bending, and different elements here - but, it all seems to be that each part is not that deep. A huge, but shallow pool, more or less. Granted, I'll be able to say more about the game when I dive further into it and/or maybe the DLC's can turn the tide for me? I dunno, we'll have to wait and see.

Regardless, I'm in the midst of Destiny 2 PC. And I'm early in here and so far, despite being saddled w/ playing this one always-online b/c it is that type of game - the game's a blast and the combat's outstanding. Not only that, but both the game technically runs and looks great. The missions early here on seem really good and I really dig this big open-spaces in some of the game's "hub" areas before taking a mission on. Regardless, this looks like it'll be my game of choice for a bit.
