I play my Switch about 90% of the time portable. I do like the idea and if they get a deal later may get one of these for better portability, but I have to likely see one in person first. I do love my switch. I think the only thing that took me a long time to get used to was the placement of the 2 joysticks. Still feels weird sometimes.

Needed to be a full size screen. (the 6.2 on the Switch should have been used, huge bezel with smaller screen is a turn off)

Needed to have digital games and saves be used on both like PSN/Xbox. 

D-Pad is nice.

No TV mode.. 50/50 on since i'd use this as a handheld only anyway.

Joycons attached is perfect for a handheld only.

No rumble.. also 50/50. nice feature but not really needed.

Yeah, for all the shit I catch for my current level of dislike for "N", I've been privy to the way they do things for about 40 years now, and if you haven't learned anything in that time, then you haven't been paying attention. LOL On another site I post at, I stated after E3 I figured we would see this for Links Awakening, as it made the most sense for the holiday lead up. Pokemon was an option to, put that's closer to Xmas, and could cause supply problems if it was released then.

In certain ways, "N" is predictable as hell, and in other ways, completely no way to see whats coming(batshit crazy), as I'm still mind boggled with the $80 cardboard, but it's pretty cool in certain ways and totally "N"!

EDIT: And if the "pro" rumors are to be believed, I would expect that right before the next gen release, or right after, or in-between if Sony and MS separate their launches. As that will allow for them to offer the best new tech they can, and a decent price the longer they wait, and no need to release soon, as whats the point?

I am speculating that the "pro" Switch eLite will drop in March 2020 as an anniversary upgrade. They would be crazy to go up against PS5 and NeXtBox in the Fall. Possibly March 2021, but the OG switch will be pretty long in the tooth at that point.

I have only taken the switch to work once as I find it a little bulky and don't feel that comfortable traveling with it.

I have been taking my vita to work everyday for years now once in a while taking my 3DS.

The new lite will be my take to work console along with the vita.

The only thing I do not really like is the color selection.

I may have to wait until the variant Sword/Shield version is released before I pick this up.

Yeah, this is all I ever wanted, so I guess I'll be buying this and Zelda LA day one, and hopefully I can get the art book version. Does anyone know if these will have preorders or not, as I know in the past, sometimes revisions don't get preorders, as getting them day one normally isn't an issue. As for the color options, yellow is my favorite color since my youth, so this is the first system ever I'm buying with a color I actually want. I agree that for most, all 3 aren't the best, but at least there are options, as "N" and options don't always go hand in hand. LOL

Unless the market gets flooded by people trading in Switches for Lites, I'm sure GameStop will offer higher trade-in values near release if you buy a Lite.

Maybe Nintendo will add game sharing to the store to go after what will undoubtedly be a growing market for them.

Yeah both of my kids want a Switch but without game sharing at least for 2, multiple switches is a no go for me.

Just so y'all know, the Switch does have game sharing. I have two Switches hooked up to my account and we play all our games on both systems. You just can't play the same game at the same time on both systems if you only own one copy.

I don't know if Xbox officially supports this but I have a friend at work that I believe shares his games to a separate account and can play MP on them without issue. I'd assume (hope) cloud saves would make sharing your games and saves between system pretty seamless now.

Saves are local to each system (or cloud if you backup), so you're safe.

The process is really simple for those curious. You just create a new profile on the secondary console, link your Nintendo account to that profile, and you go to the redownload section of the eshop to download the games. I thought there would be way more to it, but they actually didn't goof this one. Works how it should.

They'll have to allow people to have a Primary Switch and a Primary Switch Lite attached to their account to get around the issue for people that would like to have one of each. Whether they do that is up in the air and Nintendo could easily decide those people aren't worth catering to in this evolving ecosystem.
