The Ghost Recon beta campaign is nice, got disconnected a couple of times, but other  than that can't wait til day 1

Lol I get until maybe 11. I think I'm doing Bears until 10ish then maybe part of Act 1 in Gears. I'm downloading the SNES app on my Switch too. Today is a good day.
 
In addition to Gears 5 at 9, Creature in the Well comes out at midnight on GP. Looks like a pretty cool mix of pinball and dungeon crawling. Getting good reviews too.

For Gears and other PlayAnywhere games including GPU games, Can my sis play on her PC while my bro makes his Xbox her home console and both can play at the same time? I know it works with console game sharing, not sure about PC & console combo. Thanks

Should be fine... maybe. I'm not exactly sure how it works with the Game Pass part, but honestly once it gets installed on Windows 10 anyone should be able to log in and play. I share ACA neo geo games on the PC with my same Console sharing partner on Xbox. Basically just had to login as him and install the games, log out, and never had to log in as him again and I can play them fine. No setting "home" or anything like that for the PC.

Possibly. I really need to take a look at what each thing does because I had no idea it was a damage boost guy. I just look at who I have the highest.

I'm glad I fired up Gears during halftime. I knocked out the mandatory tutorial. Online seems to be turned off still, or just experiencing launch issues. The Mixpot skin is automatically unlocked in the game already.
 
Watching the Packers/Bears game, putting the little one down, play a board game or two with the SO, then when she goes to sleep.....GEARS 5 TIME

Salt and Sanctuary could also describe aspects of the major gaming releases the next couple weeks, with Sanctuary a location in the Borderlands universe and salt all over Gears social media due to issues with the launch (Ultimate goodies missing, 7 Vs maps in public). The one mod on the forums is lucky they got early access, because they've been pretty busy closing / consolidating topics.

 
Xbox Live/GamePass Ultimate question. I have about two months left from 3 months for $15 deal from a while ago. I was short on cash and couldn’t do more than that or take advantage of the upgrade deal thing. Anyways I just bought a 12 month code and was going to add my 12 months of live then jump on the 2 months of Ultimate for $2 deal going on now. I try to put in the 12 month code and it tells me it’s gonna concert to 4 months of Ultimate. Am I outta luck on adding the 12 month and then converting with the $2 deal? Is that’s so how do I Just get my 12 months of live as I would rather have that then 4 months of Ultimate. Thanks for any help.

Where do we get the gears 5 ultimate extra's? I hit Download on gamepass for the ultimate edition but just the game is downloading, no extras.

I think you're going to need to cancel your GPU sub, either immediately if that's available to you or whenever it runs out in ~2 months. Once your Ultimate sub is done, then I think you'l be able to redeem the 12 month code as Gold only.

Thanks. I tried to cancel but it wouldn’t let me. I will just get the two months now and hang onto the code.
 
Gears is having some launch troubles. Played 20 minutes of a horde match, then it kicked everyone, and I got no credit for my kills or progress. Haven't been able to do any other online activity. Going on 6 minutes creating a horde match.

I'm glad to see so many are playing, but it's a bummer I can't play when I've carved out time for it.

There's no separate download for them. I've seen people complaining on the forums that they didn't have everything from the Ultimate, but I'm going through the customization menus and I've got the Terminator and Halo Reach stuff. Also appear to have the Road to 5, Chips Ahoy and Rockstar things I redeemed.

 
Yeah, Horde is definitely a bit squirrelly tonight. I've had a lot of trouble getting matches to start.

Played Act 1 of the campaign, it is awesome so far.
 
After 15 mins of boot camp in Gears 5(mandatory tutorial), 20 mins checking out customization options, 8 mins of "previously on Gears 4" and 10 mins finally playing the game, I realized I was nodding off & wouldn't be able to remember what I played come morning. Game looks great so far though. LOVE the different 1st party banners & blood splatter options. Crafted everything in relation to Sea of Thieves

Only thing the ultimate gives you digitally is 30 day boost. Correct me if Im wrong. The physical Ult gets steelbook,stickers

 
I really, really want to like Gears 5 but I am not feeling the Coalition's changes to the gameplay again.

It's a hard aim fest again with with heavy assists. Watching kill cam footage is rage inducing seeing someone hard aim at the empty space you were at a second ago and score a kill made me stop playing.
