Now that the Microsoft acquisition of Zenimax is complete, do the chances of a Humble Bethesda Bundle ever happening increase or decrease?

Black Desert Online is moving to a new publisher and anyone with an account has to consent to transfer it or lose the data.  I think some people bought it when it launched on Steam and was cheap.  How much anyone cares about their account now, who knows, but consider yourself informed.

If you have it through Steam, you don't even have to remember what login and password you picked three years ago; just log in on the transfer page through Steam and click a button and you're good to go.

Hey NERDZ,
Go down to your local Games Nerdshop store , pick up issue 462 of White Dork maagazine and inside it find a Steam key to 12 Warhammer games you probably already have in your Steam backlog!https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/03/10/get-12-free-warhammer-pc-games-with-white-dwarf-462/
NEEEEEEERRRRRRDDDDDDDZZZZZZZZ!!!
Some of those games haven't been bundled before... but I wouldn't be surprised if "white dork" cost double digit dollars now.

It was free at some point since I have it in my backlog. I imagine that is true of many.

I played quite a bit of Black Desert for a while.  I'm looking at this as a good excuse to escape the MMO forever, rather than let it linger on my hard drive and provide the chance to get sucked back into it.

Which now leaves me with only Elder Scrolls Online and World of Warcraft installed.  But I think without the newer expansions I'm probably safe from falling back into those as well.

Bought into some early access hype for Revita, so here is my impressions after beating early access in about 7 hours or so. First this is a 2D rogue-lite platformer where you can dodge and shoot your way to the bosses of the 3 areas so far in EA. To start the graphics are OK enough, but the screen shake is quite annoying and you need to turn on outlines for you and your enemies, as their bodies/projectiles blend in with the background. It's not a super dark game, but it's not light enough either. The music is average and changes with the areas, and the shooting sounds are average as well. Every now and then you reach areas where can get chests/item shops/item choices/etc. Only the glimmer and chef rooms are free, otherwise you have to pay the currency of your own health. There is a statue every area that you can sacrifice health to get items. The more you sacrifice I believe gives a higher chance for rarer items. Also most chests require a whole heart to open them. You have to play the balancing game of your keys for doors, your health for items, and trying to survive. You eventually unlock a kill timer type thing where you get more souls which heal you, and at the end of runs are converted to the items used to unlock everything. This game controls kind of funky. I had to remap my mouse controls to have dodge on there. I also never felt that the button for a secondary item is easy to press. I have mine as shift, and have tried other buttons, but it never feels great. The controls never feel amazing, and I couldn't get my Xbox360 controller to work with it, but I got used to the keyboard + mouse controls. There is some slightly precise aiming which is easier for that. I have to knock the game for being a bit too hard at times. Everything you get hit by loses a whole heart. It takes a good amount to heal half a heart. I wish some things took half a heart and some full, but everything hurts you a lot and it snowballs damage very quickly since more hearts are not easy to get. Frankly this feels a bit clunky, somewhat dirty, and not as fun at times. I would recommend just waiting to play the game. There is not enough content in early access yet, and it feels bad. One major flaw also is the game clicking outside the game box to hit the second monitor and minimizing when it clicked outside the game. This needs to be fixed immediately and ended a run or two. 6/10 for now and hoping for more upon release.

Also I should mention Skul: The Hero Slayer has an update with more items. These items are generally alright. The difficulty is still garbage, and after a few runs I reached the end boss once and lost there. So much potential in a big flawed game. Really needed a balance patch instead.

I finished off the achievements in Loop Hero and I feel I am done with that until it gets more content.  Hard to say how much playtime I got out of it, 74 hours officially, but I am guessing at least half of that was letting the auto-battles go around the loop to farm resources on runs I had already won.  Regardless it was well worth it.

This morning I tried another one of the games I picked up over the last couple months, this one is Hadean Tactics.  It combines Slay the Spire with Auto Chess.  You draw cards, auto-battle for 7 seconds and then get a new hand and get to take more actions, mostly buffing allies or debuffing enemies and then letting them fight some more.  It has floors that look similar to Slay the Spire and very similar shops where you can buy relics and cards, along with monsters for your team.  It is hit and miss, the game is fun enough when it works but it has some serious balance issues and the randomness of who your team decides to attack can be a lot more frustrating than in Loop Hero where if you have a good setup going, it doesn't matter.   Some of the buffs and random mixtures of enemies are just broken.  One run you have a boss fight that is a joke, the next you have one where you are almost dead on turn one just because the boss had different adds and these hit harder than the boss does.

I beat the available levels/bosses in under two hours of playtime.  You do unlock a setting to make it more difficult but there just isn't very much to do right now.  They have a roadmap with a lot of content planned but I most definitely can not recommend it at the asking price on Steam.  I am a big fan of Slay the Spire so a clone is an easier sell to me in the first place and I got it on Humble with a release discount + the sub discount so it was like 11 bucks or so.   It probably is not really worth it even at that price in its current state but I do like it so I am fine putting in the backlog and waiting until they get more stuff added and revisiting it.

Pretty much my same experience with the game. It needs more time.

I was really enjoying Star Wars: Fallen Order until my game glitched out during a cutscene and threw me under some geometry, and now my save is ruined. I liked it but not enough to start over. My hate streak for this franchise continues.

It’s DRM-free and not on sale, but if anybody’s been interested in Red Candle Games’s horror game Devotion since it got pulled from Steam a couple years ago or since GOG bowed to Chinese pressure and retracted their decision to sell it a few months ago, RCG has opened their own storefront to sell it. $16.99 for the game by itself, and there are bundles including the OST or Detention with both OSTs.

Dragon Age: Inquisition.

TRESPASSER (DLC) - 03-15-2021:
After about 6h42m or so, the Trespasser (DLC) for Dragon Age: Inquisition is in the books & completed. And wow...was it ever complete!

With more DA: Inquisition gameplay & combat here; more epic battles; extremely focused on its path here and less open for most of it, as its trying to put together a specific Chapter & story here - Trespasser is a complete winner here. If that wasn't enough, this feels like the real ending & conclusion to DA: Inquisition, making it feel like a great way to end let this game & its DLC run end with an epic conclusion.

I don't really want to give away too much story here, as it pertains a lot to the following-up a bit on the ending & cliffhanger from Dragon Age: Inquisition (base-game). It feels like one possible big & final hurray and reunion with your friends, as the Inquisition is meeting-up with other Councils for a big meeting. Of course, things might have more to them than way they seem and there's some other incidents on-going, which you & your crew look into for one big last hurrah.

And what a last hurrah this is!

This DLC is nothing short of awesome & great. The Lore, the story, the set-up, and even the epic conclusion to this DLC here...actually feels like it's essential here, as it concludes DA: Inquisition in an epic fashion here.

And that isn't just with the final boss level & its final boss fight either; it goes further than that. Trespasser has many interesting set-ups (for probably Dragon Age 4) and actually what feels like wrap-ups for certain characters that were here in this game. Like Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark (Expansion) felt like for NWN1's conclusion (to the BioWare stories here) and how Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal wrapped-up BG2's with a real epic conclusion, Trespasser does all of that as well. This is done in an epic fashion here, as this feels like the real ending to this actual game, once its numerous slides close the game (which feels based on a lot of your decisions from the entire game & its DLC's) and final credits roll.

Trespasser (DLC) feels like the real conclusion & ending to the Dragon Age: Inquisition saga here, in so many ways and feels so essential, that this great DLC must be played & experienced.

Don't finish DA:I with just its base-game. Make sure you finish DA:I off by playing this epic & outstanding Trespasser DLC.

Dragon Age II: DLC Bundle Pack:

Even without The Exiled Prince DLC being taken-on, the other two DLC's - Legacy DLC & Mark of the Assassin DLC (MotA) - are both great. After a little over a total of 10 hours with both of these two DLC's combined - with a little over 5 hours or so with each of these DLC's - both of these DLC's deliver what DA2 needed.

Given how DA2 base-game turned out with its issues of recycled areas everywhere & and losing a lot of the strategic elements that DA:O had, it really needed some help in some areas and regards. In this regard, DA2's DLC Bundle Pack certainly helps...and then some.

DA2 certainly needed more unique content & areas; Lore; Story; Background; Boss Fights; Stealth Elements (in MotA DLC only); a New Companion for a certainly DLC only (in MotA only); more strategic-style BioWare combat in these DLC's - and both Mark of the Assassin DLC & Legacy DLC deliver just that.

Mark of the Assassin DLC is mostly its own short campaign & entity story-wise, character-wise, and Lore-wise - though it's necessary to add more unique content to Dragon Age 2. Legacy DLC delivers more important content for and to the Dragon Age franchise, delivering more story, Lore & characters that feels absolutely essential to both Hawke's & his family; and also a new character that becomes very important in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

After those 10 hours with those 2 DLC's, Dragon Age II is in a much better place before, thanks to these two awesome DLC Packs. Dragon Age II really needed DLC's like these; DLC's that are this great & awesome. Pretty much, these two DLC packs are essential pick-ups for Dragon Age II.

Simply put: get this DLC Bundle Pack for Dragon Age II.

I wasn’t planning on finishing DAI at all, though.
This DLC's pretty important to Dragon Age franchise, as it does a few things.

It feels like the real set-up for DA4 and the ending stuff we should've gotten at the end of the DAI base-game.

First, it seems to put the game in a better place, after DA:I base-game's cliffhanger. Trespasser DLC really sets up where Dragon Age 4's going, also - giving it way more direction & set-up. Trespasser also concludes quite a bit of storyline & character threads from especially Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Worth noting: Trespasser DLC requires that you finish DAI's base-game first though.

I also played through all the content in DA:I, including the DLC, and I couldn't tell you a thing about the plot or how it ended. All that matters to me in those games is creating the ugliest character that the creator will allow and treating everyone like shit. I don't listen to what other people say or pay attention to what's going on around me. Just like real life.

DA2 needed to be dropped into a hole and the hole filled with cement.

The DA:I DLC might be decent but I don't remember any plot threads or what was relevant at this point anyway.
DA2: Legacy DLC & DA:I base-game - Spoilers.

DA2: Legacy DLC is important b/c not only does it give us more about Hawke and his family...

...but it also introduces us to Corypheus (an ancient darkspawn that talks and also trapped an important Grey Warden down there), who is the main villain & antagonist in both the DA2: Legacy DLC & the entire DA:I base-game.

Both of these are epic boss fights w/ Corypheus in DA2 Legacy and DAI base-game, to say the least.

DA:I base-game & DA:I Trespasser DLC - Spoilers.

Solas pretty much leaves your party at the end of the DAI base-game.

Solas is the one manipulating behind the scenes all of the events behind DAO, DA2, and DAI. He's either manipulating these events or letting certain things happen...for his own purposes & reasons. It's a "Chaos with order" thing, pretty much.

By the end of Trespasser DLC - we find out Solas is really the Elven God of Betrayal known as Fen'Harel AKA The Dread Wolf, who is pretty much the reason for the Elven World no longer actually existing. Everything is his fault, as to why the Elves are no longer prominent at all.

Solas takes no pleasure in any of the bad things he does, unlike Corpheyus. Solas is planning to destroy our World to bring back his old Elven World b/c he misses that world and actually is the reason that Elven World got destroyed.

We'll have to wait & see where this all goes now, once DA4 comes along.

After finishing DA2's base-game - given that DA2 blocks off players from going anywhere but Hawke's Estate (which is where DLC Locations for Legacy DLC and Mark DLC reside) and Black Emporium DLC, they (EA and BioWare) really should allow for players to have a way to just start & jump right into the Post-Game DLC content (Mask of the Assassin and Legacy) at Hawke's Estate. Let the player auto level-up, have some pre-builds ready for the player, or let the player decide how to level-up into that post-game DLC content.

Not everybody liked/loved DA2 base-game (rightfully so, for many reasons...it's got issues) - so, a lot of this Higher-Level content is really good and does require more strategy (at Normal and above - I played on Normal and had a tough time w/ a few battles). They probably took criticisms of DA2 being too action-y too heart, as you could basically just attack & mash to win on Normal, in many instances. So, yeah - BioWare and EA should've found a way to let players start w/ the Post-Game DLC Stuff.

DA2's Legacy DLC is pretty important and should experienced. It's pretty important for Hawke's background & ancestors; more info the Grey Wardens; and b/c of that DLC's actual villain.

I tried to love Dragon Age II, but it’s just awful compared to the far superior original. I’ve gone back and given both II and DA:I a second chance .... and they’re just so challenging to like for different reasons.

II completely changes the narrative and style of the game, and the bigger issue is that it has so many cut corners. Recycled environments and lazy design abound. It’s just a slog to get through ... even if the dlc somehow improves it.

DA:I is really boring ... it feels like an MMO without anything exciting going on. I’ve legitimately felt bad that I can’t seem to get into it since I purchased a copy at launch, then bought the GOTY digital edition ... and I still can’t get into it. Some of the character designs are just so damn ugly and off putting. The gameplay just also feels like it plods ... and I’ve heard you have to leave the starting area for it to get better ... but either I never made it far enough to get to the “good part” or it never got good. Reminds me of Final Fantasy 13 where people kept saying you have to run down corridors for 15 hours to get to the actual game.

Bottom line for me ... DA:O has been the only good game in the Dragon Age series. I wish they would just remake the original for modern consoles and reboot the narrative. It had so much potential and I don’t have faith that 4 will be good enough (or is it 3 ... is DA:I considered 3? Can we just pretend II was a fever dream?).

D&D: Dark Alliance announced.

Looks like a co-op brawler/ARPG type of game....with some Destiny, Division & Godfall influences, but instead a medieval game here set in the D&D World/Universe/Setting.

That looks like the perfect wait for under $20 or cheaply bundled game I likely will never play. Maybe it's just me, but I get kind of bored of arena fighters/shooters. Some obviously include a lot of exploring before said fights in arenas (souls games) and are pretty good, but for the most part I generally find them monotonous. Only few I like such as Ziggurat and I did like Painkiller at first too. I hope they mean plenty to explore in this one. I will wait for reviews nonetheless.

For some reason was expecting more of a CRPG feel for Dark Alliance. Hopefully Diablo II will fill the void of a game you can play with 3+ other people, but this looks interesting.

Random thought but did anyone play the really old PC/Mac game called Realmz? I think it basically ripped off old D&D narratives or was heavily influenced by them. It was simple but addictive and had pretty cool exploration for a game of its time. Kind of wish there was a D&D rpg like that but modernized. I guess maybe Baldur’s Gate 3 might be like that?
