If you need a safe place to mail them, I'll tell you my address. I promise neither my wife nor I will comment negatively on your LEGO hobby.I'm at the point in my marriage where I have to hide my toy purchases from my wife.
Bought the modular police station for the Forestmen gwp last time around, big-ass box shows up, "what's that, more toys?" Ordered the hotel this time to avoid the price hike, plus the Monkee Kid ship and Lightyear ship... shudder to think what that box is going to look like.
Not that I really want more competition, but some of you looking for a deal and also a fix for your gambling habit may want to check out r/lego_raffles if you haven't already.
Is this a one time use code? Feel like it never works for me. Also noticed that the local Walmart started jacking up lego prices with new shelf tags. You can save $10 off of $50 at Walmart.com with the promo code wowfresh
It doesn't work on all LEGO but it does work. So the ATAT would be $118.
No. I used it in the winter and SlickDeals says it's working. Seems to work again for me. Sadly neither code works with the orchid. I'd like to get it before the price increase. Is this a one time use code? Feel like it never works for me. Also noticed that the local Walmart started jacking up lego prices with new shelf tags.
Which is amazing to me because for $100 and 1200 piece space ship you think LEGO would claim it needs to be stickers. Just more proof that LEGO is completely full of shit.I normally don't mind stickers on regular sets as much as most people, but premium sets at premium prices should get printed pieces, in my opinion. I'm happy they did that with the Galaxy Explorer and Castle, but Lego needs to do it more.
Adventure is one of my favorite games of all time (because I'm old) but that minibuild is a headscratcher. I guess another TV would be repetitive with NES but this doesn't feel like the answer. I do like the main build and the retro room. Maybe not for the $$$ thoughI find the set to be a bit of a mess, the inner display is cool, but those little game builds just don't fit. How are you supposed to display that thing?
I think most of us in this thread are old now, sad to say. I’ll be 42 in a few weeks.Adventure is one of my favorite games of all time (because I'm old) but that minibuild is a headscratcher. Sounds like a good time to me.#LEGOblowzbigdaddy
Damn. Are you buying LEGO for grandchildren yet?50 in August...all you kids.
There’s an idea … a LEGO Apple Macintosh … that thing would just print money for LEGO and would probably be really cheap to produce given the limited color palateI didn't grow up with the Atari so I don't have that nostalgia. But I personally think it looks nicer than the Nintendo.
(My dad had two computers back then, but I honestly don't know which models. Think it was an IBM and and Apple but not IIe.)
I never understood how LEGO decides what is brick built and what isn't. The three headed dog from Harry Potter is brick built, other creatures aren't. I guess if LEGO thinks they will reuse the mold then it will make the mold over brick built. I'm good with what we got, but my expectations were VERY low with Avatar.Meh. I know it's kind of against the point of Lego, but I was hoping more of the Avatar creatures would be like the Jurassic Park/World dinosaurs. Less brick built, more articulated snap-together molds
I feel like those translucent iMacs from the 90s would be more nostalgic. There’s an idea … a LEGO Apple Macintosh … that thing would just print money for LEGO and would probably be really cheap to produce given the limited color palate
Oh look … already a thing https://ideas.lego.com/projects/cf737f87-5e46-4433-aa4e-76891a1d2b99
Our Mac lab teacher in high school had one hand and it was always easy to figure out his password to get into the locked programs!I feel like those translucent iMacs from the 90s would be more nostalgic.
That should be every LEGO thought going forward.Avatar looks nice but will only pick up on sale if at all
You said one purchase, not one set. So what difference does that make? :lol:I’ve decided I’m making one LEGO purchase a month from here on out … we’ll see how long that lasts …
I think LEGO does both. Apple 2 then five years later the iMac. Just like I expect and SNES sometime after the NES and 2600.I feel like those translucent iMacs from the 90s would be more nostalgic.
I'm thinking GameBoy before SNES, but yeah, if LEGO leadership doesn't change soon, as the NES is retired I'm sure we will get a SNES.I think LEGO does both. Apple 2 then five years later the iMac. Just like I expect and SNES sometime after the NES and 2600.
Peach is new. LEGO has released a new character every year. I'm hoping for Wario next year.wow i didnt know theres a Peach version.
One step closer to making my Mario themed Key Party set a realityPeach is new. LEGO has released a new character every year. I'm hoping for Wario next year.
Peach has like 100 extra pieces in the Starter set. LEGO did something right for a change.
I'm still waiting for Mario Kart sets. Just think if LEGO actually introduced Mario minifigures and they are in overpriced $15-20 Kart sets. This way they can continue the play thing they got going and have minifigures. One step closer to making my Mario themed Key Party set a reality
Us vs. SkiizimThere are people online upset that LEGO stopped making Comic Con exclusives, and then getting upset at others who are happy they are gone.
(Only slightly edited from a crazy comic con rant I've seen.)Here’s my hot take - the Avatar sets look poorly designed and continue LEGO’s recent issue of bad designs for cheaper sets (below $150+ Sets) that look childish and overly simplistic. I wonder if there are new designers that just don’t have the same level of skill or creativity. LEGO is becoming the next BioWare.
My head hurts. "Company raises prices to hurt sales."I heard one rumour that the price increases are to slow down sale numbers so they can keep things in stock more.
Damn Al Gore. The internet was a mistake.
You don’t even know!Us vs. Skiizim
Yeah, man. We do/don't need more impossible to get sets like the best Iron Man minifigure ever made. There are people online upset that LEGO stopped making Comic Con exclusives, and then getting upset at others who are happy they are gone.
