LEGO Deals 3

Yeah I was looking at target too as far as taking advantage of that sale and they don’t carry the SW trash compactor set. Would’ve bit if they carried it and it was on sale, oh well

You can save $10 off of $50 at Walmart.com with the promo code wowfresh
It doesn't work on all LEGO but it does work. So the ATAT would be $118.

I'm at the point in my marriage where I have to hide my toy purchases from my wife.

Bought the modular police station for the Forestmen gwp last time around, big-ass box shows up, "what's that, more toys?" Ordered the hotel this time to avoid the price hike, plus the Monkee Kid ship and Lightyear ship... shudder to think what that box is going to look like.

Not that I really want more competition, but some of you looking for a deal and also a fix for your gambling habit may want to check out r/lego_raffles if you haven't already.
If you need a safe place to mail them, I'll tell you my address. I promise neither my wife nor I will comment negatively on your LEGO hobby.

Is this a one time use code? Feel like it never works for me. Also noticed that the local Walmart started jacking up lego prices with new shelf tags.

No. I used it in the winter and SlickDeals says it's working. Seems to work again for me. Sadly neither code works with the orchid. I'd like to get it before the price increase.

Lego Atari comes out August 1st. $239.99

I like the swappable carts and the little game displays. But doubt I'll actually get it. Also, *lots* of stickers  :bomb:

I normally don't mind stickers on regular sets as much as most people, but premium sets at premium prices should get printed pieces, in my opinion. I'm happy they did that with the Galaxy Explorer and Castle, but Lego needs to do it more.

Which is amazing to me because for $100 and 1200 piece space ship you think LEGO would claim it needs to be stickers. Just more proof that LEGO is completely full of shit.

They can make prints for $10 City sets, they can make prints for $100 space ship. They couldn't make half of the stickers in this set prints? Even if it were just the smaller ones, or the posters and reuse them. Lego has no logic.

I find the set to be a bit of a mess, the inner display is cool, but those little game builds just don't fit. How are you supposed to display that thing?

Adventure is one of my favorite games of all time (because I'm old) but that minibuild is a headscratcher. I guess another TV would be repetitive with NES but this doesn't feel like the answer. I do like the main build and the retro room. Maybe not for the $$$ though

I think most of us in this thread are old now, sad to say. I’ll be 42 in a few weeks.

Atari set blows for that price. #LEGOblowzbigdaddy

Sounds like a good time to me.

I do love the design for the Atari itself. The fact it slides open and the retro basement comes up is awesome. Interestingly the first rumours had the room being a Pitfall level, and no side builds. The price was also like $180-$190.

I didn't grow up with the Atari so I don't have that nostalgia. But I personally think it looks nicer than the Nintendo.

(My dad had two computers back then, but I honestly don't know which models. Think it was an IBM and and Apple but not IIe.)

There’s an idea … a LEGO Apple Macintosh … that thing would just print money for LEGO and would probably be really cheap to produce given the limited color palate 😜

Oh look … already a thing https://ideas.lego.com/projects/cf737f87-5e46-4433-aa4e-76891a1d2b99

Meh. I know it's kind of against the point of Lego, but I was hoping more of the Avatar creatures would be like the Jurassic Park/World dinosaurs. Less brick built, more articulated snap-together molds

I never understood how LEGO decides what is brick built and what isn't. The three headed dog from Harry Potter is brick built, other creatures aren't. I guess if LEGO thinks they will reuse the mold then it will make the mold over brick built. I'm good with what we got, but my expectations were VERY low with Avatar.

I’ve decided I’m making one LEGO purchase a month from here on out … we’ll see how long that lasts …
You said one purchase, not one set. So what difference does that make?

LEGO is such a shit company when they released the new set pictures with prices, the prices are wrong! The Mech and creator set is $45, the little base is $100.

I think LEGO does both. Apple 2 then five years later the iMac. Just like I expect and SNES sometime after the NES and 2600.
I'm thinking GameBoy before SNES, but yeah, if LEGO leadership doesn't change soon, as the NES is retired I'm sure we will get a SNES.

I don’t know why I got this but it will make me feel special for 10 days.[attachment=37097:C9334925-1A90-455F-9639-16F243BECA68.jpeg]

wow i didnt know theres a Peach version.
Peach is new. LEGO has released a new character every year. I'm hoping for Wario next year.

Peach has like 100 extra pieces in the Starter set. LEGO did something right for a change.

The Dark Trooper Star Wars set has increased from $30 to $34. LEGO really thinks this won't affect sales? I heard one rumour that the price increases are to slow down sale numbers so they can keep things in stock more.

A bad photo of the IJ figure has leaked.

One step closer to making my Mario themed Key Party set a reality
I'm still waiting for Mario Kart sets. Just think if LEGO actually introduced Mario minifigures and they are in overpriced $15-20 Kart sets. This way they can continue the play thing they got going and have minifigures.

There are people online upset that LEGO stopped making Comic Con exclusives, and then getting upset at others who are happy they are gone.

Here’s my hot take - the Avatar sets look poorly designed and continue LEGO’s recent issue of bad designs for cheaper sets (below $150+ Sets) that look childish and overly simplistic. I wonder if there are new designers that just don’t have the same level of skill or creativity. LEGO is becoming the next BioWare. 😜

(Only slightly edited from a crazy comic con rant I've seen.)

Childish, overly simplistic sets do not degrade your quality of life. Your obsession with chastising LEGO for producing them, however, will. Are you so immature that you cannot accept the existence of something so trivial?

Grow up and get control over your anger and hatred.

:booty:

The internet was a mistake.
Damn Al Gore.

I can ALMOST make sense of it. You increase prices so that you have less sells, but those less sales get you more profit because of the price increases.

If LEGO went 'We need to increase prices 5% across the board, fine, sucks but whatever. It's 20-25% increases on completely random sets.

I love being shadow banned by Huw because he's a immature brat who doesn't like to be corrected. What a cuck.

The exclusive minifigures don't bug me too much, I just buy knock offs. However there was a black TMNT I would have loved. But they were stupid for people who like the theme. Likethere is a Stranger Things character that LEGO will never produce a figure for normally.

What I didn't like are the exclusive sets. I don't like mentally ill people claiming others are acting entitled when they get exclusive figures to pay for their vacation. It's insane.

Also LEGO can't keep things in stock. It's been a year and I still never got my fishing boat. Maybe make make more actual sets and don't waste time making exclusive sets.

"We want Minifigure Factory to be as fun as possible for all of our fans so we don’t allow the use of profanities, vulgar references, hate speech, or extremism."

Lego's idea of "fun as possible" doesn't coincide with mine.
