Has anyone ran their Portal without a screen protector? Tried installing one like 3 times and fucked it up every time. The bulge from the analog sticks is what is fucking me up lol.

It's a new trophy list, but it's the same trophies from the original with the DLC trophies and new game+ trophies as well. You can upload your save from the original version, but there's no auto pop of all the trophies.
That's unfortunate...I have about 35 hours on my original save so there's no point in starting over.

The Portal being able to stream via cloud makes me a lot more interested in it. I'll still probably wait for a sale, but it seems like Sony has bigger plans for it.

Seems like Sony's going to be beta testing cloud streaming stuff for the Portal:

So am I reading this right- Portal can directly steam games without the need for a PS5? If yes, that's a pretty major update and would def make me consider a higher PS+ tier if they go beyond PS5 games eventually. Would rather play PS5 games on PS5, but older games, I'd def could see myself streaming them to my Portal if I'm traveling or something.

I was going to buy a Portal at Dell because I couldn’t figure out what to use my credit on. But it went out of stock, and stayed out until recently. Now that it’s back in stock I’m having trouble pulling the trigger. Hoping for a sale on it I guess. Or something else to show up worth getting. Or I’m out of time because my credit is about to expire…

Have you try extending it yet? You can extend it by converting the Dell Rewards Points into Dell Cash. It will give you a new set of expiration date.

I was able to get the PS5 Pro at Dell for $354 by using my Dell Rewards Points that I have been stocking up and extending the expiration date out. I am also getting $20 in new Dell Rewards Points and $100 in cash back for making that purchase too.

Thank you. I’ll keep an eye out.

They typically overnight ship everything so things will probably ship tomorrow. But possible things may ship today with 2 day shipping.

I have a 2nd day air shipping label under my UPS account from "SIE ATL NPI".

So I have six separate orders. Two slim 30th, two dualsense 30th, portal 30th, edge 30th. Received six different emails today from Sony, figuring it’s everything shipping. Nope… it’s just invoices, shipping confirmation, and “your package is arriving tomorrow” confirmations.

No ship notice of the accessories, only the console.

Cancelled my 30th anniversary Dualsense. Couldn’t bring myself to pay MSRP. Already have 4 that I paid $50 or less for.

While I agree with you; I personally bought it as a collector. I own a dual sense edge and midnight dualsense as primary controllers, then the astrobot, 30th anniversary, and hogwarts legacy dualsense as collectibles. Same for the 30th slim. Couldn’t pass up on this series since I grew up with the original PlayStation.

I guess I should get my 30th anniversary DualSense later this week from Walmart, which is nice.

Do you plan to use it?

It’s funny. I only wanted the Pro 30th bundle. Yet as far as aesthetic I prefer the slim 30th and standard dualsense 30th. Not really digging the Pro 30th or edge 30th in comparison.

"select PS5 games in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog* to be streamed directly from our servers, even without a PS5 console."

So log into my portal with a different user and my 5 as me and some crazy couch co-op potential there.

I pretty much use my portal as couch co-op to play The Hunter: Call of the Wild with my 10 year old. Take every opportunity that he wants to play with Dad. All goes so quick. My 21 yo is in Navy and now play BG3 online together, but hits different when they are next to you.

With the upcoming deals for PS+ subscriptions, I have a question!

I currently have PS+ Premium, but my plan was to just let it expire and resub to Essential. That was before I knew they were going to do a BF deal. Will I have to let it expire like I had planned, or will I be able to go ahead and pay for a year of Essential with the discount?

Haha I meant to say I have 4 Dualsense controllers that I spent $50 or less on.
I get it and I have only ever bought controllers because of the color, none of mine have ever stopped working. I have a pre-order on the Chroma Teal one currently, but I keep glancing at the order wondering if I should just cancel, contorllers are expensive and know can always snag one for $50 (plus 5% target discount)...but sooo pretty :LOL:

PS5 Controllers and emotions:
  1. $70+: limited edition, special graphic controllers need only apply. most rejected. WTH am I doing spending this much money on a controller?
  2. $50: ok fine. I don't like spending that much but it's a good deal and it's never going to be better for a long time.
  3. $40: a great buy at Thanksgiving. Grab whatever you need now. Put one or two in the closest for the next time a controller breaks.
  4. < $40: laugh at the people who buy used controllers at Gamestop. That's pissing away your money.

Speaking of Micro Center, the virtual tour on their site is dope. I remember being blown away when I first went to one in the 90's.
Floor plan of that store before they relocated.

Why is it my first reaction to that is asking myself why does it look like a map mod in Project Zomboid to me?? Mmmm maybe I've played one to many games.😅

I’m safe till Feb 15 at least. Had to start converting points last month, which got me to that date. Have $270 total between points and bucks and can cash out some $50 worth of arp too if I find anything to buy. Trying to pay extra attention right now because of holiday sales

Consoles came in today. Accessories tomorrow.

Sony shipped the consoles in the factory custom cardboard packaging… stupidly. Zero padding, the console box is right against the edges of the shipping boxes. Corners on both console boxes are damaged.

Same thing happened to mine. Zero room for error. Sad because the packaging on these is special. They also put a big sticker with 30th Anniversary Slim on the shipping box 😔

Hope I'll be able to pick this up tomorrow. I'm sure the website will be a hot mess yet again.

Back when BTC was under $400 I've set out on a journey to acquire the mystical 20th Anniversary PS4. Little did I know spamming the order button resulted in multiple orders being placed. Fast forward to today Sony's Akamai wait queue prevented me from getting the 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro. Congrats to all those who managed get one.

The real question is will we be able to get $100 PSN from Costco or Dollar general again for $80 and then get a discount for being a current PS premium user and extending with this sale.

it doesn't sound like you can just extend and get a deal, specifically says you get a discount when upgrading.

Costco did not do it last year so I wouldn’t count on it.

One of my local grocery stores next week has spend $100 on any 3rd party Gift cards, get $20 off your grocery purchase the following week. I pay with a credit card that earns 5% back and I view $20 of groceries pretty much same as cash because you have got to eat.

Dollar General did and always does though.
