I'm honestly surprised that Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Steelbook Edition Nintendo Switch is still available on LRG .. thought it would be extinct by now.. still glad to have my order in at least

I am too... I was shocked it didn't all sell out right away. I'm honestly thinking either there's something up with the quantity or (more likely), there being an annoucnement that there'd be a standard edition I think the same day might have hampered people's desire for a LRG release.

The standard edition was already announced prior to this--Amazon and GameStop have had listings up for a few months.

It is a weird choice to print more copies of the Switch version even though Switch version normally sell more. Main issue is Cold Steel 1 and 2 are not available on Switch, so many people are still on PlayStation for the series. Second some people will hold on in case they announce a Switch 2 version in the future.

Switch MoQ is 3k, PS5 MoQ is 1.5k. Presumably that's also true for the steelbooks.

An interesting game from SuperRareGames that went live today is still available with %46 stock left.. ships in August. Seems like a eye-catching Puzzle Adventure. I'm probably gonna grab a copy tomorrow

That's due to switching publishers/localization. Xseed did the original cold steel and 2. Nisa didn't jump in till later and took trails and Ys series from them. And poorly localized both. I'm sure everyone remembers 8s horrible translation and cs1 having a paper mache voice over job originally. where every other line would be voiced especially for the main character. And the text was bad. Sometimes you couldn't even read it was so tiny.

It's jumped largely since as well as them buying the fan translation of the zero and Azure games so they eventually localized them. As prior both had been passed over for localization at the time.

How did Nintendo QA miss that in certification? Gex fails to load.
I would bet modern QA is just self-assesed and only handles by exception these days.

So pay the fee, check the boxes, check the last one that you swear it's okay, and then off to the races.

I doubt Nintendo has any people loading up each hentai slider puzzle to see if they actually work.

Hell given that track record they have with pokemon of all things they don't bother to qa those much if at all anymore. Used to be game's would be at least playable but since the ds? It's questionable. Granted console variants became heavily common and you obviously cannot test all of them.

I was going to order Shinobi Classic Edition and it divides the order into two parts - The game and the contents. And is going to charge me $8 shipping per part for a total of $16 shipping for this one item? Absurd.

Is this the way it was for everyone else? I've never had them divide one item into two parts before when I've ordered.

I just received a email for a month delay for Jedi Power Battles. Moved from end of July to end of August. This seems to be a trend for the games I am ordering lately. It is nice to get updates though on order status.

I still haven't heard anything in months from Strictly Limited for Ray'z Arcade and Steel Empire Chronicles for Switch.
They have five months left of this year to get these in the hands of the people that preordered them. They promised to have all backorders shipped by the end of 2025. I doubt that is going to happen.

Also still waiting on Volgarr the Viking 2 for PS5 from Rock it Games. That was supposed to ship at the end of 2024 and I received a update in April that the game was delayed but nothing on when it will be shipped just that you will receive it soon. Nothing yet.

This is why I'm so glad I got off the FOMO buying of Limited Run and Strictly Limited games a long time ago. The forever waiting, the decreasing quality of CEs, and just the lack of room for all the endless releases. I guess I come into this thread every once in awhile to check what's going on out of curiosity. Seems the same BS still going strong that started years ago.

Well it used to be FOMO when there was no preorder period like there is now. But even with a preorder window I cant get myself to buy anything. Which is good thing I guess.

Agreed, I'm definitely guilty of that. I'm still part of the problem with LRG, keep buying stuff I know won't be good quality and take forever but they got franchises I like so.....

Tomba was the first time in forever that I skipped something I wanted but that was more because I felt carbon engine isn't good for anything beyond 2d games.

Hey, if you got the money, the room, and you enjoy the games, that's all that matters.

Definitely not FOMO for me personally. I only buy game I want in my collection. Lately only ordering Xbox releases on LRG that I have interest in.

This experience with Ray'z and Steel Empire has soured me with Strictly Limited and I will never order anything from them again. I have similar thoughts on Kickstarter. I am still waiting for a game I backed in 2018, Bushiden, seven years ago. They at least update us every so often but the game was supposed to release in 2020. I'm done with backing anything on Kickstarter. Plus some people these days are getting fully scammed on Kickstarter and that really sucks.

SLG is garbo and I will also never order from them. I still have a Akai Ito & Aoi Shiro HD Remaster Switch pre-order which I expect to never be fulfilled. They're extremely slow on fulfilling what they can.

You can ask SLG for a refund for the Akai Ito & Aoi Shiro HD Switch preorder. I did, they answered right away, but took about a couple weeks to get the refund.

I have emailed First Press Games 3 times asking for a refund for a game I preordered in 2021. I am shocked that I have received no reply.

I just have Eiyuden Chronciles left from KS where I backed it for like $200 or 300 (can't remember since it was in yen), and I don't think they'll actual deliver anything beyond standard game. Every update they provide is the typical "we're sorry for delays" with no real ETA and at this point, I doubt there's any money left for anything.

No way, that things been out for well over a year now. Yeah, I think your money is gone at this point.
