They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

How many copies of a game can I trade in?
You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).

TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

Most Wanted Trade list, it is the games that get a trade in value bump when gamestop sends out those emails about higher values, the last weekend of the month lately.
Yeah should be this Friday, though I wouldn't be totally shocked if there isn't a bump at all. There wasn't one in April and last month's was the middle weekend (16-19). But last year the MWT bump for June was the last weekend, so fingers crossed.

Noticing a handful of stores have pre-owned CIB copies of Scarlet and Violet + Expansion. Meanwhile, Sword and Shield + Expansion is practically extinct. Thought the performance and resolution gains from NSW2 would up the value of certain games, especially for Pokemon. Curiously, what is going on?

GameStop was able to get their hands on an original print of these games at a discount. This is basically old Walmart and Target stock.

The version of these games are all 001 (first print). The newest revision and rarest is 004

B2g1 free is live online for pro
Unfortunately the free shipping threshold was raised back up to $79. Hope that's just an error and will be corrected soon
edit: Actually not sure if it's just the cart being wonky but when I put 2 games over $54 (but under $79) it shows Free Shipping but when I add the 3rd free game it negates it. Is this happening to anyone else?

I got free shipping on both of my orders. Just tried three games in the ~$30 range and it's charging shipping for that.

Order 1
Indiana Jones PS5
Doom Dark Age PS5
Assassin's Creed Shadows

Order 2
Monster Hunter Wilds
Split Fiction
Metaphor

I got:

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Khazan the First Berserker
Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition (the Switch 2 boosts made me want to finally try this lol)

Debating if I really want anything else. I know I certainly don't need it though, especially as this same day had me make use of the $25 off $250 promo to buy Death Stranding 2 and some Switch 2 games I intentionally held off on to save some bucks 😅

2nd time now I've had Wilds in my sights during B2G1 and I just don't think I can pull the trigger and try Monster Hunter again.

I got Atelier Ryza 1 and 2 on PS4 and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on the Switch. I noticed all of the Atelier games have gone up in preice at Gamestop since their last sale. I was surprised they had them in stock.

Yep the dlc is very important for the game at this state. I'm surprised Capcom is allowing to sell pre-owned to GameStop

Capcom canot allow/prevent resale, but they can do exactly this to discourage used/resale.

Apparently the digital version is available in two editions (with and without the DLC) and they are priced at $60/$40 respectively. Trade in/used prices should probably be based on that lower number assuming the code is burned.

I heard not to buy used for street fighter because the DLC is a download code.

Oh you’re right, I forgot that I redeemed a slip for my launch copy. Well, others must be aware since it’s still in-stock while nearly all of the other preowned SW2 games are gone…

Also running into a dumb shipping charge error. If I have two $40 games ($38 after Pro) in the cart, I don’t get charged shipping (because shipping is free for orders $55+). But if I add a third game to get it free, which doesn’t change the price of the total, I get a $7 shipping charge added. Amazing, GS.

So my 800,000 population capital city metro 6-county area had 8 Gamestops two years ago. Six months ago, it dropped to 5 stores. And two weeks from now, it will drop to 3 stores. So a month after the Switch 2 release, 2/5 of the stores will be shuttering. 1 of the remaining stores is on average burglarized monthly according to employees. So two Gamestops and a burglary center for 800,000 people and roughly 7,000 square miles. There are now officially more GameXchange stores than Gamestops in my area. I would suggest trying to use up trade credit sooner rather than later if you have much, but what do I know. It's gotten harder and harder to spend Gamestop credit over the years. Nowadays I can't even place a successful in-store pickup order. I go in store, I see and ask the employees how many copies of the game exist at the location. I go outside and order it in my car for pick-up, and it gets cancelled due to low inventory the next day. Without fail this year.

Whats up with this aldana vs gamestop settlement? I went through my email which is rare and I came upon on and some Amazon product safety team. I don't wanna click on on it the other amazon email looked suspicious.

It's real. You have to link your Facebook profile to prove you had one. I'm going to get a whopping $10 gift card from GameStop within a year.

I did pretty good with the b2g1 sell, I wanted to try to get the $25 off $250 in store. Couldn't find anything in one store, managed to get Trails to Horizon 1 & 2, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, Dragon Quest 3 HD, & Mario & Luigi Brothership all with cases. I cant be bothered with ordering online anymore.

At one of the stores I went to people kept calling in about the switch 2, the manager got mad at one of the employees for telling people one of the stores near by had them. I dont know why they're being so hush hush about it.

I wish their free shipping threshold was lower. There are a few $10 and less games I want to get with b2g1 but the shipping is the same price as the game I'm getting free. Doesn't seem like gift cards count towards the threshold either.

and in checkout it says you need to spend $54 for free shipping but i have $75 in my cart and still getting charged shipping

Found a few Switch 2 titles going to a few stores.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and Cyberpunk 2077. Shocked to see used Switch 2 titles already, no Mario Kart World but I ordered that online so we will see if it has a case.

Ended up placing the same order as your first one haha. They all look like good showcase games for PS5 Pro.

I'll have to try my luck in store for cheaper games because of the shipping fee error.
That was my thought too. Almost finished with Expedition 33 so I think Indy will jump to the head of the line and I'll play that next.

Yeah $54 would be doable but the $79 threshold seems impossible to make this a good deal unless you are buying in store or the 3 games you are ordering already meet the threshold. Can't even do a second set of 3 more expensive games because the b2g1 always applies to the lowest in cart rather than to every third lowest. Adding a preorder is also considered an entirely separate shipping threshold and shipping charge. Which makes sense but they could give a ship together option for preorders that aren't super far out. Though I guess then they have to deal with the logistics of holding the other games for a couple months.

yep, even 6 games at around the $20 mark don't quite reach the threshold with the whopping 5% off for pros actually keeping you from getting to the total. might just find a cheap filler for around $5 or decide that i really don't need the games anyway.
