Changing this to a FAQs for those that need some help getting these deals.

When I order online it shows X price for in store, but changes to Y price at checkout, what gives?
You can only do in store pickup for the clearance price if the item is available for pick up that day. If it isn't the price will be the online price instead. Sometimes the item will be shipped to that store if it is no longer at that store. It may adjust to the clearance price at pickup but it could also charge you full price for it.

Can I buy the item at one store and return / rebuy at another?
Yes but it is up to the stores discretion to allow you to get it for that stores in store price. If it is an online order, they are supposed to return it to the warehouse it came from so you will not be able to buy it back. It's YMMV on employees following this rule though.

Can I price match a Walmart clearance item at X store?
No. No store, including Walmart, PMs clearance prices. YMMV on getting PMs for these items but it is against every stores policy to do so.

I want to price match this clearance item at another Walmart, will they allow me to?
No WM (or any retailer) PMs the prices of other local stores.

BS said X of an item is in stock, but the employee said it isn't at my store, why did they lie to me?
They didn't. Sometimes items are misplaced, stolen, or the count is off. Employees are not all over the massive stock room nor do they know where every item is. Don't harass an employee or come on here saying they are keeping it for themselves. Sometimes, an item truly isn't in the store.

Why is BS always wrong?
BS is not wrong. Their information is directly from WM systems. Just like all stores, inventory and prices may be wrong for a certain store. Do not rely only on BS.

How do I find clearance items?
Go to the store and scan items, check SD, check this thread. Actually look for something you want.

Where in the store are clearance games located?

Clearance items in general can be on shelves, in dedicated clearance sections or in the stock room. For games specifically, they will be in the videogame glass cases, videogame value game isle or dedicated clearance section. It's random and depends on that stores layout / management.

What is the SKU or item number of this item?
Look it up yourself. There is a search function on this site, on BS site and you can Google the item almost 100% of the time. No one needs to spoon feed you this information and we shouldn't have 20 people asking for the same information that was already posted.

Acronyms to know.
WM = Walmart
PM = Price Match
TRU = Toysrus
BS = Brickseek
SD = Slickdeals

They were doing counts I guess (overheard them talking about on-hands) at one of my local Walmarts in 40509, but saw most Pokemon games on sale if not clearance. Scarlet, Eevee, Brilliant Diamond, Pikachu were marked $30 and Arceus was marked $19.93. Shield was $40. I tried to check on Arceus on their site and that store just says 'buy in store' with no way to add to cart. So maybe because of that?

Guess I'll have to swing by my store and check if it's $20 for Arceus

So I walk into one of my area Walmarts and am encountered with a cart full of clearance PS5 games. They had just torn apart, relocated and condensed the PlayStation section to make a Switch2 specific space.

I initially grabbed these to figure out which ones I was gonna get.

The associate working the area spotted me and we got to talking. I asked her if any of these might drop further next week and she told me to follow her to the register where she then rescanned and dropped the ones I was interested in even further, saved me 30 bucks off the clearance prices.

I would say check your stores because they might be doing exactly what just happened to me.

Other titles, all PS4/5

Quiet Place $30
TMNT Mutants Unleashed $15
AC Mirage $10
Some Monster Truck game
a few others I can’t remember, maybe I’ll check back in tomorrow

Rise of the Ronin is $40 everywhere for playstation days of play, but it'll probably be $20 or $30 like last year for black friday.

Yea in a text to a friend I called this my early Black Friday. I don't love spending $30 on a game usually but Alan Wake and Stellar Blade feel like games to me that I might not find at that price again, at least not new and sealed anyway.

I would say wait for Ronin to be a free Plus game. I got it for $30 last BF and it's one of the most "6 out of 10" games I've ever played. Unremarkable in every way.

Yeah, my code is never go above $30. $30 is the highest I'll go but thats super duper very rare. I usually be at $20 and lowest depending on the quality of the game. Stella blade at $30 wouldve been a maybe but like one of those should I get, should I not struggle.

wow you hit the mother lode there. That's several titles I've been looking for, on clearance.

The first photo shows the same games and prices at one of the walmarts I visited two weeks ago. Theee others had zero clearance and one electronics rep, when I told them about the deals at one location only, said to me “yeah we don’t match other stores”. I’m like ‘bro I’m telling you about deals, I already bought them days ago’.

Now getting dead rising and horizon for even $10 less per copy is rad. I’m envious there!

I just beat stellar blade nearly 100% just days ago. It took about 60 hours, and as a fair heads up, the final last few big fights ramp up difficulty exponentially. Very frustrating!

My Walmart had most of the previously listed games that were knocked down to $10. However, they also cut down the shelf space for the budget games with displays for the Meta Quest and some other electronic gimmick so a good chunk of those games were moved back to the regular locked case but also had another price cut down to either $5 or $8. I didn't buy anything myself because it was mostly the Switch shovelware titles remaining but probably worth a shot if your particular store had to do some rearranging.

Found the following:

PS5: Five Nights at Freddy's Help Wanted 2 - $10

The electronics associate was busy clearing a Switch and Xbox section to make way for Switch 2. He mentioned that he already received about 40 to 50 Switch 2's to put out for sale.

SanDisk 512GB microSDXC Memory Card $40

SanDisk 64GB microSDXC Memory Card $9

No Switch consoles marked down at my local Walmarts today. In fact, the animal crossing switch bundle that was on clearance for $149.99 for a couple weeks is magically back to full price.
Wait til the holidays after Trump's idiot tariffs are off pause. Fully expect Switch 2 prices to go up. Nintendo pretty much signaled it already by saying the bundle price is limited to the launch.

All that to say is no way are you going to see major retailers cut prices on Switch 1. With Switch 2 prices expected to go up, Switch 1 sales at (frankly) inflated retail msrp price will still keep selling and potentially look even more attractive at its 8 year-old standard msrp.

Is that the non oled model right? I didn't know that still existed. And you saw it for $150??

My local Walmart had completed a fairly major rejiggering of the video game section since the last time I was there, but the only new discount/clearance game I saw was Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora PS5 for $10. I picked up a copy for that price!

Today's random Walmart clearance find was GTA Trilogy for Switch for $10. This Walmart had clearanced most of of it's Xbox stuff too but nothing below 20. Also had 1tb WD blue SSDs for 40.

ETA: I had PS5 on the brain while I was posting this, fixed it to what I actually bought, which was for Switch.

Swung by the only store in town last night. Surprisingly, no Switch 2 stuff. No games. No accessories. No consoles. No shelf tags. No signage even! It's almost as if my store didn't get the memo that Nintendo was releasing a new console.

Nice, I saw it still for $30 a couple days ago, briefly considered it then remembered how crappy a job they did with the "definitive edition."

If I see it at $10 I'll maaaaybe bite.

Not sure I'd even go for Mario Golf Switch for $20, I can just play Toadstool Tour again or the 3DS one, the Switch one is half-assed garbage. At least the Switch Mario Tennis is an improvement from the Wii U nadir of the series.

I picked them up because they had good flip value. GTA isn't my type of game, but turning 20 into almost 60 was nice.

$30 GTA was gone when I went today must have been marked down and snagged :( however the little Mario star balloons all over the electronics section leftover from the Switch 2 launch were FREAKING adorable! It wasn't all bad.

I'm thinking they meant the Switch Lite Animal Crossing Bundle. It would be highly unusual if it was the Animal Crossing Special Edition OG Switch.

Well there really isn’t one. There’s only one launch game and almost no demand for the console.

Yes, the launch lineup from a first-party standpoint is a bit weak but it's being widely reported that they sold through 3.5 million consoles worldwide in the first few days and the thing has been selling out everywhere despite more supply than we have probably ever seen for any launch. Time will tell what kind of legs it has but to claim that there is "almost no demand for the console" at this point is just asinine.

From what I saw they brought in a new developer to work on and patch the game and the GTA Trilogy is actually in a much better place now from what I understand.

Yeah, Nintendo is usually pretty good about putting out quality software but the Mario sports games on Switch is one notable area where they fell kind of short. I would agree with the contention that they did a better job with these in previous generations.

Or just snagged at $30 honestly.

Nah I checked the dates on their price tags they redid the whole lot recently and had stuff like Splatoon 2 and such marked newly marked down and taken out of the glass even marked at $10. Was probably sitting at $30 for quite a while at that store.

More games have been knocked down in price at my store to match some of the previous lists closer. A lot of them were the "value" games (cut down to two rack sections recently, one for PS4/5 and one for Switch), reduced to $10 with regular price tags, not clearance stickers, so maybe it's storewide now and not YMMV.

Clearance games that got moved in the recent Switch 2 reset ended up in boxes as the front of the store. Grabbed AC Valhalla and Dead Island 2 for PS5 $8 each a few days ago, then grabbed SF Anniversary Collection for the Switch for $10 yesterday on the value rack.

There seems to be a new Clearance wave in general. When I went yesterday, they had kitchen stuff and cat toys on clearance, and some of the collectibles that have only been out for like a month (McFarlane Super Friends figs are already down to $10). These were all on their regular shelf spots and haven't been moved to the Clearance section yet.

How the hell did they still have Friday the 13th lol. I think the online for that might have been shut down anyway? Also regarding NEO: The World Ends With You...... I remember years ago when the Switch version was recalled and pulled from store shelves because there was a manufacturing error and they put World War Z cartridges in the case instead of TWEWY.

Bruh, I went to Wal-Mart once and tried to buy one of those compression socks for my mom. The women said it kept getting a error and I went to get another same thing. Found out it was recalled I was like WTF why was it still on the shelves. Cashier didnt know she kept asking other employees. I was like this was a waste time. Also couldve been worse if it actually did ranged up doing recalled. Lawsuit
