I rarely preorder stuff but if I remember right when a store by me closed during COVID, the preorder I had there was transferred to the next one closest to that one. I only found out when I visited the store by my house and they showed in their computer I had a preorder in another store.

Yep. Store down the block from me is closing on the 17th. They had signs on the door stating they are not accepting trades or preorders any longer. The next closest Gamestop for me is about 20 minutes away so I'll probably let my pro expire in a few months and mostly be done with them unless...

I dunno. For some reason I thought it was counted differently if you sign up after not having pro for a while but maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Anyone know what Gamestop's definition of "renewing" a Pro membership is as opposed to a new sign up? My membership lapsed in January then I signed up again in April. CS is telling me I'm not eligible for the 5K bonus points because I renewed. Is that accurate?

Not sure tbh. I did it in store so you could always ask to ring up the game and a year to see if it discounts.

I'm not sure if it has changed with the recent updates but I was once able to do a $5 cert bought with points + $5 monthly coupon to get a $10 Xbox credit for free in store.

It's a bit convoluted but you can buy Instacart gift cards on the GS website using TIC and then use that to place a Best Buy order through instacart. You'll probably be paying an upcharge though unless you can find a promo code to offset the difference.

YMMV but I used the online chat for a similar scenario and they refunded me the points value of the cert. The guy made sure to remind me that this was a courtesy and that he sees I've been given points before (yeah for the 10k pro sign up bonus I didn't get smh)
