There are countless reports of Jaspers dying the usual RRoD that has plagued the 360 since launch. You need only check google or even Microsoft's forums for verification. My Jasper (MW2 Elite bundle) RRoD a month back. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see a reliable 360 until the rumoured...

If the black one is also rated as 1.3a, is cat 2 certified, 28 gauge with ferrite cores, then yes, they're identical.

Had I known the title had the option of selecting the original Japanese voice acting (which I prefer) I would've picked it up. VGP has the game listed back at $50 now.

I've looked at many of these at Best Buy and Future Shop. Of all the ones I've scoured, the Lot numbers on average are over a year old, some as recent as 084X, but this is still old Falcon stock from what I can tell. YMMV.
