If you're looking at video cards in the 60-70 dollar range, try a 9500GT. They're essentially a 8600GTS, but 20 dollars cheaper, and with less power consumption.
I looked at the radeon 3000 series, they were in PCI-E 2.0 x16, thought I later found they were backwards compatible. The link to the radeon is broken...

Lets you do various stuff, pretty cool, because you can integrate it with several popular games.(stats for the game, ventrillo stuff, system information)
There's lots of uses, but its intended for gaming.
I don't know about the PC version, I have it for console. It seemed pretty simple though.

There really aren't any very complex RTS games recently(except Supreme Commander), if you're only looking for single player.

Really depends on your technical knowledge. Most people I know could assemble a PC if they had a guide, all the parts are already there, etc, etc.
Though an important thing to ask is what the computer will be for. Just office and word, or will you be using it for some light gaming?

Well, tonight after playing some halo, My controller somehow broke its analog stick. My xbox 360, is long out of warranty, so support wont fix it. Does anyone on cag know how I could get this fixed somehow, or of anything I can do?
