If you can wait, people are predicting that Sony's Bravia line is going to get price slashes for the holidays due to the them selling terribly because of the current US financial situation.

The "shipping" costs on the $0.01 cords make it as expensive as the regular priced cords. A lot of sellers on Amazon do that for cheap items.

Probably won't work with the XBox. All adapters need this. The controller needs to verify with the console to work, so only official and licensed controllers will work, and a hack is needed otherwise.

Reportedly, this is the best adapter for PS2 -> 360. It doesn't drop inputs, and has no lag. $25 before shipping. Honestly, the cheapest way is to buy a universal PCB for $25 and wire it yourself :P
