A lot depends on the starting discount. For most places, the quinjet started at 15%. That means the standard discount levels would be 15%/30%/50% and then it will be salvaged. Some of the lego started at 30%, which meant it went 30%/50%/70%. There are always a few exceptions here and there...

The odder part is that it is a TRU exclusive!

The official release date is 1 December, but expect that TRU will put them on the shelves before Thanksgiving. They usually ignore the release date and put them out early.

You are OK. They just came out and most stores have not yet even put them on the shelves. LEGO does not discontinue sets that quickly, with the exception of a few Ninjago spinner sets, polybags or stated limited edition runs.
