@CheapyD - just use NowInStock - catching a card in-stock is relatively easy even if all you do is leave a browser window open on their GTX 1080 page. :)  As of this exact moment, they're in-stock direct from nVidia, though I'd probably recommend grabbing one of the non-founder's edition cards...

One thing that could / should play into a 4K TV decision would be HDR / expanded color gamut support - you're not going to find 1080p TV's that are compatible with that, and material mastered for it absolutely is visible regardless of seating distance or visual acuity.  Of course the cheapest...

One of these cards would be a nice way to turn a basically current but decidedly non-gaming computer into one that can handle most modern games at modest settings without having to worry about power supply issues.

Grab them all as trials and decide for yourself. ;) XBIG trials give you 8 minutes to try them out, which should be enough time for you to decide which you like best. That said, I'd concur that passing on Crossfire and only bothering with Crossfire 2 would be a sensible move. :-P
