I read that you moved to california and are looking for anime conventions! I don't know where exactly in CA you are but you just missed Anime Los Angeles! It's a fan favorite convention although not as huge as Anime Expo or Otakon. There are so many conventions around the LA area that are pretty neat and LA has a lot of cool people that cosplay!
