Agreed. Can't understate how much I value a game that just lets you play.
If I hit those forced walk and talk sequences in AAA games I have an urge to just shut the game off lol.
May looks like a quiet month for JRPGs outside of SMT3:Nocturne HD Remaster.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 and Final Fantasy X/X-2 are also coming to Xbox Game Pass.
Your JRPG releases for April 2021:
- The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV (Switch)
- SaGa Frontier Remastered
- Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack
- Nier Replicant Ver.1.22474487139...
- Death end re;Quest (Switch)
Man BD2 performs pretty badly. I'll still manage to have a good time with it, but what shame it doesn't run smoothly. It's the type of game that really ought to run like butter.
On the plus side the character models and job outfits look good to me.
edit: handheld mode seems to run more tolerably
Yeah mine's been dusty since December. Demon's Souls was a really short game.
Nioh 2 and 13 Sentinels were also great but yeah, don't need a PS5 for those. The extra performance on a lot of games may make it worth it if you missed the PS4 library entirely.
I include them to just cover the bases and to avoid arguments. Better than leaving them out, it's a small niche already.
Although if you want to tussle, I'd agree that Yakuza 6 and Harvest are not, but I am a Yay on Monster Hunter.
Anyway, most excited for Stranger of Sword City. Played it...
