They were hit hard. I saw a few videos and it was nasty around there. I'm pissed they trashed the displays I set up.

Don't be fooled by that at all. They are constantly massaging ideas to remove retail employee perks. I could tell you stories about how they abused labor laws, but then again what retail company hasn't?

I was a part-timer and recently they purged any and all employees who couldn't commit to 20 hours a week. It was a shitty move, but I was lucky to have a 9 year run. I'd hate to paint such a grim picture of LEGO, but you guys should know that they treat their retail employees like absolute shit.

Ugh, I recently ended my employment with LEGO and now this set is released.  It'll definitely be sold out immediately and I'm sure the company will piecemeal us sets like they did with Friends.

Some of you might be highly disappointed if you're expecting a huge discount on certain LEGO sets from TRU.  Word is that most TRU stores (YMMV) will only discount LEGO up to 20% of their inventory liquidation. The rest of the unsold product will then be shipped to specific LEGO stores...

The onslaught of complaints over the Dr. Strange set (Target exclusive and I believe lego.com) really shook things up. Tons of pissed off customers had a few things to say about being forced to visit other retail stores when they would have much rather just purchased with us.
