Last week in the $5 coupon thread I reported that I was able to use my 20% coupon on a video game purchase DESPITE the fine print. A manager checked me out and she did not do any manager override tricks to make the coupon work. She read the coupon but did not say anything regarding the fine...
eCost is a joke.
They do have a few items at good deals. Often times though I've found the same or similar items for cheaper or with free/cheap shipping. Buy.com and Newwegg are much better sites.
If you're a sucker you can buy into their premium offer garbage. For $40 you buy a membership...
I remember seeing it at one of my local TRU' when it came out. But that was the last time and of course I finally purchased MY 360 after it went on clearance so I missed the opportunity to find it. Not that I haven't looked.
Matter of fact I haven't seen it anywhere lately.
When I was scanning the RadioShack site the other day I noticed that most of the games on the site were listed as "Web Only" which means that the catalog number listed ONLY works on the site. Several games that I had known were there in the past are no longer listed or have been relisted as web...
I've read a wide variety of things in this thread... some of it confusing. So as a veteran RadioShack Employee how about some information & advice for you all to clear up some confusion.

I placed my order on January 1st. 6 magazines for $25.
I finally got my first issue of Nintendo Power today. It was the last of the 6 magazines I ordered to arrive.

I bought 3 for myself and 3 for a friend. the person that checked me out in the Electronics Dept. did ask why I was buying so many. when I showed her my christmas themed giftcard she got that rare look of understanding...
Best Buy will price match non-advertised prices...
They must look it up online (sometimes printouts from home work as well) or they call the "local" competitor(s). SOMETIMES the call works if the BB employee is good at it. though maybe I've just been lucky. once price matched a clearance game...
When I worked in the "R Zone" at TRU over the Christmas season, I tried to stay on top of what we had in stock (Wii's on Sunday mornings) and what was on sale. Getting daily (overnight and early morning) shipments meant everyday something was possibly stocked that hadn't been before.

Wal-mart randomly has clearance games. Mostly in those damn bins where they get mixed in with the $5 spanish DVDs. or the one random game like Chibi-Robo for $15 a month ago.
I took a recent trip to a Wal-mart I typically don't visit. They usually keep all the $20 games in a locked endcap...
There seemed to be a few more games on the list. I couldn't get a copy for myself though. I'll try again tomorrow. There are a lot of accessories on the list as well. I mis-reported the ad in an earlier post, the buy on get one is only on movies. It's 50% select accessories and games this week...
