So my friend gave me a code and it told me that it was invalid. Can anyone tell me how many chars the code is so I can check what he wrote? It's really dumb that pc gamer did it without some sort of scratch off.
Thanks to argyle for being awesome and hooking me up.
I'm lucky that someone was nice enough to help me out.
I still think this is a dishonorable practice, the people who think it's okay are just sheep enabling an already corrupt power structure and I don't know why you're on CAG if you think...
So I find out that NetherRealm/WB is being a pack of greedy dicks.
Anyone have a code they don't need? I don't think they deserve money just because I bought a used game.
I think Best Buy is far worse than gamestop. All their deals generally just look like deals and you have to buy too many to get them. They also didn't have my friend's copy of FFXIII when he preordered.
All of these choices suck really hard. There should be a "worst brick and mortar retailer" I'd vote for Best Buy for not having my friend's copy of FFXIII when he preordered.
I had a problem with a seller RedBeeboop on Amazon. I bought a copy of Pokemon Sapphire and it seems to be pirated. The idiot wanted me to pay to ship the game back. I'm probably going to file an A-to-Z claim with Amazon which is why I bought through them. According to a CAG archived thread...
Make sure you clock the "add both to cart" if you want to buy the pc version, amazon is a little quirky and shows the buy.com version of the dlc disk by default if you try to add both manually.
Yeah I joined the ECA for the discount which they ended as soon as I did so I never got any benefit. ECA pretends like they're some sort of official organization when they're really just a bunch of scumbags trying to rip people off. That skank gypsyfly gets all uppity because gamers get pissed...
I don't like seeing people take the sucker's bet because then it encourages amazon to treat everyone like morons. We have enough corporate stupidity as it is.
Okay people aren't doing the math, this isn't a great deal.
12 month Xbox Live Gold sub is 39.96/12 = 3.33/mo
3 month Xbox Live Gold sub is 18.77/3 = 6.25/mo
You're paying almost twice as much per month... so 6.25 - 3.33 = 2.92
2.92 x 3 = 8.76... so you're basically saving a whopping 1.24 in...
This thread saved me 20 bucks, I was going to get it for $40 but then I saw this thread and called around to the Gamestop stores here. I round a store that had one new (unfortunately they failed to mention it was a display copy so check for that if this matters to you), so thanks for the save!
