Credit Cards: Extended Warranty or Discounts?

GME, there are a bunch of extra features all credit cards have. Besides just being able to charge stuff. Like probably the most common one is with platinum cards you get collision insurance on rental cards. Like, if you rent a car for a couple of days and charge it to a card that provides...

Credit Cards: Extended Warranty or Discounts?

Captured, think of it this way. If Apple were to sell you an extended warranty for an extra year on your two iPads, would you pay $60 for it? I just did the math, the extra 4% discount the Discover card would give you over the Visa, it'd really be $48 for the extra year warranty on the 2 iPads.

Credit Cards: Extended Warranty or Discounts?

Not asking if it will be covered. I'm asking, what's better? A card with more warranty (usu Visas) or a card with more discount (the Discover card give you 5% cash-back at the Apple store)?

Credit Cards: Extended Warranty or Discounts?

I'm about to buy two iPads for $600 each in the next couple of months. It seems like I can either get a 5% discount on them (Discover) or an extra year warranty (some Visa cards). And actually, I think some of the Visas give 1% discount, so Discover wouldn't only be an extra 4% discount...

I'll be buying a HDTV soon, and I need some help.

There's a HDTV buying guide at CNet that has all the basic information like what you're asking. It's here: Click Just note that it was written a couple of years ago. Stuff like distance and refresh suggestions won't have changed. But, model specific info like price ranges and commonality of...

Need a deal on Windows 7 Ultimate or Professional

I was looking around for on Windows 7 a couple of weeks ago. Didn't look long, this was the best I found: Click. Been meaning to ask around if it's real or not. Price for Windows 7 Home 64-Bit is $60. And, I don't think that's just an upgrade. I think it's the full version. Anybody seen...

    Macbook or iMac deals

Hmmm, I was gonna buy an iPad after the initial reviews came out, probably in May. You think they'll have any kind of good deal for an iPad? They're not as expensive as Macbooks. Also, kube00. Discover's online shopping discounts, you get 5% cash back at the Apple Store. Discover's online...

The definitive sony card rewards thread - a good start to a free game or controller

I'm probably gonna buy 2 Sony TV's sometime soon. Probably in the next couple of months. I know there have been better into offers for signing up with this card in the past. Should I jump now on the $50 for joining or wait for a better deal? If I don't find a really good deal on previous...

The Credit Card thread (Cash Back)

I'm looking at the Associated Bank Platinum Visa now. It has 3% for gas, groceries, drugstores. Just wondering, since you apparently got the card before the lowered the rates, did they lower them for you too? Or, just new applicants?

    Deal on an LCD TV that's 22" - 26"

Do some people not shop around at all and just post to a message board? If you don't care about picture quality, Vizio is a name brand a lot of people are starting to like. They don't use the best performing electronics in their set intentionally so they can lower the price. There are lots...

Looking for specs on the new Samsung LCDs

Why does everyone assume Samsung is cheaper than Sony? The Samsung LN40A650 is a 40", 1080p, 120 Hz television just like the Sony 40XBR6 is. The Samsung one is $1600 at Amazon right now. The Sony one is $1500. Are there other specs that make the Samsung better? Cnet reviews both the Samsung...
