There are only four Kmarts in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area in NM, and by the grace of God the Kmart in Rio Rancho actually dropped the price. Every other store either a) hadn't a clue or b) didn't have a thing in stock. Scored a copy of Nier and NGS2.
I'm going to have to vouch for how crappy the monoprice ones are. During black loading screens I can see some very noticeable flickering and bleeding colors every once in a while.
It took a long-ass hunt, but I found God Hand, VP: Silmeria and Okami at the Game Rush in Downey, CA.
The guy at the register wasn't really aware of half the games on sale, and all three above weren't on display, so that was a lucky one.
Before the one on PCH in Long Beach, CA closed down, I managed to snag myself Elite Beat Agents for $16 and Rogue Galaxy for $24.
That was a lucky one; since it was sharing a building with Tower records (before they closed) it actually looked like they stocked some good stuff every once in a while.
Grandia III was at my local CC for the registered clearance price as well, despite the fact that it was neither in the clearance bin nor marked down from it's 49.99 retail sticker.
Went to the Gamerush in Torrance, CA on Hawthorne and picked up the last Xenosaga III and Tales of the Abyss (18.00 fyi) over there. There's a couple more Tales games left, but nothing much to write home about.
Thanks OP and CAG!
There's just something about the return policy that I don't trust, but I can't quite put my finger on it...
Maybe it's the fact that they think Christmas is a measurement in weight.
