It's probably because the stores are full of crappy ass used games. They are wiped out on good used games except the crappy ones. With a $5 minimum they are ensuring that at least a good portion of the trades won't be the ones they already have 50 copies of.

update trade in value must be $5 or higher. Oh and even regular psp's count for the extra $30 if traded towards another new system.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this practice. Anyone with a lick of sense who ran their own store would do the same damn thing. As for pre-orders being dead thats a big :lol: right there. customer-"do you have X game in stock?" me-"yes but only enough to cover my reserves"...

Yes if your purchasing another system. I want to say it was 360/ps3/wii/dsi/dslite/psp/psp go. I am not certain on the psp's though.
