Solved. I was being impatient and did not kill off all of the regenerating enemies. After going toe-to-toe for about 3 minutes, HH was able to slam into the fuse box. Thanks to all for their help, I figured it was something stupid.

I will try that, however I have tried it a number of times and never have seen a prompt other than special attack. In fact, the picture shows Jade hanging there and under HH has the special attack icon. I will let you know what happens. Thanks for your suggestions.

Finished the game tonight with 92% completion. I thought it was a great game that did many things very well and I was glad to have more story behind Samus. I wish there was more of the old school music mixed throughout the game. I plan on giving this to my nephew for Christmas...I think...
