Does anyone remember RE survivor for the psOne.  That game was pretty bad too.

Same with me. I ordered mine on Tuesday when it was $35 too. My order didn't ship till last night, but they were still able to refund me the difference. $8 back.

Just a heads up.  If you get a limited edition 3ds xl and if it should ever break, Nintendo won't replace it with another limited edition xl (I learned this the hard way).  They'll either give you a red or a blue as a replacement for the broken one.  Apparently they don't keep any limited...

I think you're correct. I think the company would only honor a warranty new or refurbished unit.

I don't think I would want to do that because I'm pretty sure that would void the warranty. I also don't know the first thing about replacing housings and what not.

Thanks those are cool but I'm looking for something that will cover the entire console. I can't stand the ugly blue color of my xl.

How durable are these skins? Will they peal off or tear easily? Which seller/brand is reputable? Have you personally used decals before? I apologize for so many questions, but I don't wanna end up wasting money on something.

this is probably why I didn't get a new pikachu one. One of the main reasons I didn't open it till a few weeks after I bought it was because I wasn't able to buy a game the same time I got the xl. I figured I'd open it when I got a game. Bad mistake. Well hopefully people won't make the same...

yeah I was really shocked too. I called them this morning to verify, and apparently they said because it's a "limited edition" xl, there aren't enough parts available so they can't fix it. They also said they don't have any pikachu 3ds xls so they can't send me a new one as a replacement. So...

yup you're right it's completely my fault for not doing this. I should've known better.

I just checked the status of my repair. Turns out they can't fix it, and it seems they've decided to send me a blue 3ds xl in exchange. So after all is said and done I pretty much spent all that time, money, and effort for a plain old blue xl. I also wasted an extra $10 on screen protectors...
