It's been working great. I don't leave the unit on all the time, but I do use it 3-4 hours a day and it hasn't overheated once yet. From about 7ft away and the tv on, I can't even hear the fan anymore. I'm really happy with it.

Hey guys, just a heads up, but I was messing around in the settings and discovered how to enable hdmi cec. All you have to do is turn Easylink on from the settings menu and reboot. As long as your tv it's compatible, you can control the gamestick with your tv remote. Hope this help.

You don't have to do anything on an unmodified dock. The fan should turn on by itself once the sensor detects enough heat. A quick way to check without opening the dock is to turn on the dock without the gamestick inserted. Refer to the picture from my tutorial to locate the thermalcouple...

But here is the deal... I measured the voltage signal of temperature sensor of the dock before and after the mod. The voltage of the temp sensor drops as temperature goes up. Before mod: Temp sensor voltage drops below 2.5V => fan turns on After mod: Temp sensor voltage never dips below...

The dock does help with cooling the stick. The biggest complaint of the dock is that the fan is really loud when it comes on (think 360 or phat ps3 loud). This mod lowers the fan speed so that it's barely a hum and still help to cool the stick.

So I've modified the dock to run the internal fan silently (or close to it). Watched a few shows and everything worked fine. I couldn't find my thermalcouple attachment for my multimeter, so I couldn't monitor the temperature in realtime. Background: The stock cooling setup is pretty basic...

I never watched the video, so I never saw that you gave the credit there. I apologize for the misunderstanding, but why not also give credit in the first post as a link or something. This would have prevented the confusion in the first place.

@ashram, did you by any chance install busybox from the play store? If you did, that's what is causing the screen to go black/blank with the mouse. Unfortunately, the only way to fix this is to reinstall the *.img
