Not that I'm a litmus test, but I've had mine for 2+ months...and all is well with it. Knock on wood. You might want to consider a Squaretrade warranty...? Picture is really nice, auto-shutoff helpful. It's a pain in the rear w/o the remote, but a quick $20 solved that (for the PS3 BluRay one...

FYI: $30 on clearance at Sears (here in Tampa, FL). Everything else on hand - in 'Clearance - was actually more expensive than Gamestop, Amazon. Hmm.
