You could try uninstalling SP3, installing HL2, then reinstalling SP3. I know it plays fine on my PC with SP3, but I also installed it before I added SP3.

FWIW, I own the MOMO and I think that reviewer is being very overly critical. For instance, he spends a good portion of his review just complaining about grinding gear teeth on a completely different wheel. (Who cares? If I'm reading the review, it's because I want a review on the MOMO!)...

Found out today at TRU that any unwanted items in their online bundle can only be returned to the store for store credit. But they are currently running a sweet deal of $20 off when you buy two Wii games, so things worked out rather well for me.
