I beat the game in about 12 hours I think, going at a somewhat leisurely pace with about 50-60% of the achievements. I didn't do all of the side quests, but keep in mind that if you stick to the main story and beat it, you can come back and do the side quests later.

I actually got a message like that a month or so ago, and the credit showed up in my account. I just got the same Xbox live message a couple days ago, but the credit hasn't shown up yet. I'm wondering if the second message was a mistake...
