frankly I'd say it says something about the school district that that such a zealous religious nut was allowed to teach anything, much less science. I would like to say though that even though I'm atheist, I know that not all religious people are like this.

yea, probably. most likely followed by a rise in atheism as people realize the cold, hard truths of the world. After that we might do something about global warming, or have showers spreading from the west

I gotta say I agree with them, that law was simply cruel and unusual punishment, and we cannot start making exceptions. besides the death penalty is an archaic and heavily flawed thing anyway, so I'm happy to see it going away anywhere.
