They ended the weekly ad for more rotation of deals. Please check the homepage and deal link for the current deals.

I can't find a trade in value for an item?
It might not be tradable or calling a store to find the value may be the only option.

You are allowed to trade in 4 copies of the same game (same system) within a rolling 30 day period.

Are there trade limits?
Yes, $500 cash minus some electronic trade ins and or $2000 trade credit in a rolling 30 day period.

Can I use the $5 monthly coupon on gift cards?

Yes you can in store but not online please note not all gift cards will apply to this rule.

I have a $XX.xx pre-owned reward certificate, and I want to use it on a B2G1 transaction. Should I?
It depends. If the three games are equal value, do not use your certificate. The value of the certificate would be applied to the free game, which would not benefit you. If one game is more expensive, you can use the certificate to make it the same value as the other two games ($5 reward certificate applied to transaction with two $10 games and one $15 game would make all three games $10).

TERMINOLOGY AND LINGO:
ASL/SL: Assistant Store Leader, Store Leader; manager positions at GS.
B2G1: Buy two, get one free.
GS: GameStop
JD: Junior detective, an employee who is out to get someone
LP: Loss Prevention; this is the department that actually bans accounts after being flagged.
TC/TiC: Trade credit.
TIV/TV: Trade in value, or what a game currently trades for. When posting a TV for a game, always use the base value.

i imagine it was in pretty rough shape, considering that they accepted the refurb on the console and the extra joy con. otherwise i would think you would just save 1 good joycon to trade in by itself later.
Even in rough shape they could easily get more for a v1 switch, especially if it’s hackable. Even the same amount in cash would be better than GameStop funny money.

And it’s plain stupid to take that little for a joycon. Nintendo still fixes those for free.

I agree, even trading just the dock and cables would be I think around $26, sell just the tablet on eBay for $100 or so. Yes Nintendo still fixes Joy Cons free, so that’s a matter of waiting a week for another $6. But these values in terms of hardware and accessories have been that low for a little while, we are 8-9 months out at this point from the wild high values we saw for years.

If anyone has a half price books in their area, they make GameStop trade in values seem generous in comparison. I took like $200 worth of games and merch in to see how much they would give, they also sell used games at msrp or above. I knew I was probably walking out of there with most I brought in, but I laughed out loud when they offered $15 total. This included Mario Wonder within a week of release. Outright theft.

Half Price Books hasn't been worth a damn in a long time. Back when they did the 50% off coupons and didn't just copy ebay pricing they were solid. I got tons of stuff back in those days.

Made a second run to grab some cheap used games & picked up the following:
:ps4: Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi $6.99
:ps4: Wanted: Dead $14.99
:ps5: Warhammer 40K Inquisitor Martyr $9.99

Was told at the GS location that the previous clearance titles (the ones on 25/50/75 percent off) were being converted from new to used on Thursday. The used price of the clearance titles are currently reflecting the reduced prices. For example, Scarlet Nexus is down to .99 cents for Xbox One/Series & $1.99 for PS4 (with a Free PS5 upgrade).

You won't find any clearance titles $4.99 or below at a store. You will have better luck finding a golden turd.

I found a copy of Overwatch PS4 for literally $0.01 a long while back. Didn't buy the golden turd, but maybe I should've...for "historical preservation" lol.

GameStop should’ve bought Limited Run Games with all that meme money. Maybe 2 poorly run companies would make a positive company? Probably not but at least GameStop would have a reason to exist.

How does Gamestop decide what digital games to carry/add? I see Pentiment got added to the eshop today but GS still only has the Xbox version. Any chance they'll add the switch version so I can save 5% and use their funny money?

Picked up Watch Dog Legion Ultimate Edition steelbook (PS4) converted from new to preowned for $3.
Same. Even if it's not so great, additional game plus DLC makes it all the more worthwhile

Madden 24 PS5 rings auto as 45 but Pro brings to 48$ so a nice little flip for the day ontop of other trades

This gen has been a joke. Barely any big games, and stuff like FFVII Remake Intergrade and Crisis Core seem to be out of print.

I don't look forward to the shitty all-digital future.
Crisis core isn’t out of print. Ff7 remake was a small print game and I feel like resellers are going to regret holding onto this game.

Once they complete the game I bet square releases a complete edition. The only reason the game was expensive previously was because intergrade was locked on the PlayStation store. They’ve reopened everything from what it looks like. I guess if you collect small printed games it might be worth something but, with sites like vgp now a days everything gets reprinted.

I have a sealed copy of FF7 remake that I just bought to collect. Not really to resell. But seeing the prices it’s going for on eBay, 250+, I’m very tempted to just dump it lol

I sold mine a while back on mericari for $120, people have them up for that price I haven’t seen one sell yet.

Im curious what you got, mind sharing?
They're all in my car, I can share tomorrow. Nothing super huge, but stuff like Redout 2 on PS5 for 5 bucks. I was trading in games, and a casual peak into the bargain bin turned into a 1.5 hour dig for gold! I got up to 200 bucks worth and realized that I only needed a few more games to save 25...

Labyrinth of Yomi is not a bad game. Take it, you won't regret it. I spent many hours on it in my time.

Hello, everyone. This is my first post.

Damn! So many great deals!!! I spent 220 on terrific converted to pre-owned titles!!! Like, WOW!

A few cheap ones:
There were a lot available online yesterday, but a lot sold out now. It's been mentioned already I think, but Scarlet Nexus for Xbox One/Series X is 99 cents, over 7k available, that's going to sit for awhile. I ordered a number of games, most 1 game per shipment. I expect gutted or loose copies for the most part, but games so cheap, I can't complain too much.

For the most part, as was mentioned, most games converted were part of the 25/50/75% off promo that has been ongoing for months. It finally ends this Saturday, but almost everything OOS now for New condition after being converted to Used. Not all Pre-owned skus are available online, so checking stores might yield some good results.

GameStop had their own version of Limited Run with GameTrust, which put out a few games like Song of the Deep (Insomniac), Deformers (Ready at Dawn), Has-Been Heroes (Frozenbyte), and The Invisible Hours (Tequila Works), as well as teaming up with IndieBox to put out steelbook editions of PC games like Axiom Verge, Thomas Was Alone, AwesomeNauts, and Guacamelee!, among others.

It was fairly short-lived, and the original games that GameTrust published all got low-to-middling reviews.

If they'd stuck more closely to the Limited Run playbook (rather than the hyper-niche-y physical PC game space or publishing original games), GameStop/GameTrust could've wound up being the leader in the whole limprint thing. It certainly wouldn't have saved the company or anything, but they could've made something of it. If you're going to have a brick-and-mortar presence to sell physical copies of games, why not sell physical copies of games you can't get anywhere else? The main trick would be finding a way to feed retail but maintain the whole FOMO thing.

Man, there are a few good ones in there. Going to have to try and hit my store today.

Hell they made tons of money off the stealth (borderline illegal ) reprints of Xenoblade wii and other stuff they fid years back. They should just stick to that. Granted people are not as gullible as back then thanks to the interwebs making it far more obvious about reprints.
