Got mine a year ago from Newegg via eBay refurbished for $99. No issues. I did research and plugged a USB fan into the back of the TV's USB port (its there, just look under a removable flap) and it works great. Goes on and off with the TV. 3D mode uses 120Hz refresh, so that's why it appears...

I know this isn't a game topic, but I got the set yesterday and it didn't work in my older BRD player, so I put it in the PS3 and it appears to run at 36fps which is a HFR. But all the previews for it have it running at the standard 24fps. Basically, its driving me nuts as I don't like the 120Hz...
