I've read that it's worth playing on a PC, but that they did a lousy job porting it to the 360. Everything I read said to play the PC version, not the console version. I got a new, sealed retail copy of the PC version for $8 shipped via Amazon's second hand sellers. Looks a bit more expensive...

I've had good experiences with Play-Asia in buying Japanese games. Very reliable, and reasonably fast shipping from Asia. The only problem I had was once when I ordered a out-of-stock game that they never restocked. But it was easy enough to cancel the order.

I think it's a great move by them to sell it so cheap (or give it away apparently with the coupon). The 2009 version will be worthless to them in a month or so, and they get a lot of people to try the game who otherwise wouldn't have heard of it. It's definitely a very different type of game...

You did better than I did. I found F.E.A.R. for the PS3, bought it, brought it home, then went to play it. Only then did I realize that the case wasn't shrinkwrapped and the game was gone. D'oh.

They ran this deal last month as well, and slightly less than half of us that bought them got Jaspers. I think it ended up something like 8 Jaspers to 10 Falcons.

For what it's worth, I was in a Target today and picked up a copy of Virtua Fighter 5 for the Xbox 360 for $9.98, but the PS3 version was stickered at $13.98. Didn't check a scan on it.

Thanks OP. I ordered 3 yesterday (two for us for the second mike, one for a gift) and added the Orange Box for the 360 for $16.99. When I added Orange Box, somehow that was enough to make the $5 shipping free, so it only cost $11.99 to add it. YMMV, but it might be possible to mix and match...
