The Cantenna is a commercial version of the Pringles antenna. It's expensive, though it is supposedly better than a homemade antenna.

Linksys is good, I prefer D-Link. They are about equal in quality. I wouldn't get an 802.11b router at this point, as 802.11g is newer. They are both cross-compatible, though. I highly recommend a D-Link DI-524, you can find it on newegg.com for like $20 AR. It hasn't choked a moment for me...

You can use a wireless bridge, but most wireless routers also have wired ports.
