I checked my Meijer in Mount Pleasant MI and the PSP was going for MSRP. I think the most likely scenario is that there was a mistake in signage or the price tag and the PSP you saw was priced at the PS2 price. YMMV -- Big Time (kind of like hitting the lottery).

I went to my local Staples to pick this up and they had a price tag on it for $17.99. When I pointed that out to them they sold it to me at that price. What an amazing deal!!! BTW -- I love my PSP -- not only for games but for watching videos and listening to podcasts. IMHO, the PSP rocks!

My local (Mt Pleasant, MI) GS also mentioned this to me so I think it is nationwide. I've been picking up some classic, backward compatible titles lately. B2G1Free is a good deal if you pick titles carefully and add the edge card.

I picked up Halo and Spiderman 2 (XBox) for $10+change. I know these are old titles but I'm excited because they're great games -- I played them way back and know I'll enjoy playing them again. I'm not sure if this is a great deal financially but the games are new.
