Yeah, Japan is supposed to get a release pretty soon but it's by Toei (same company that has the Sailor Moon masters) and they've said they're just going to upscale stuff so it won't be actual HD (same as Sailor Moon).

I just picked up my copy at Best Buy.

Transformers is coming out on Blu-Ray in Japan this winter. I assume we'll get it at some point thereafter.

US fans overwhelmingly want the sets for free but oddly enough FUNI doesn't seem to be budging there ;) Give me OAR or give me death.

The Dragon Boxes are the way to go. I'm unaware of any non-butchered Blu-Ray sets but would love to pick some up.

Transformers: Prime was dreadfully boring. Very pretty to look at though. Animated (and Beast Wars at this point) had the opposite problem. AMAZING writing that has to struggle through some rough visuals.

Transformers Energon is only $20, but it's terrible in every conceivable metric.

I don't believe they've ever commented. I wouldn't bet on them doing it before they caught up on the "current" Seasons though.

The last few have been movie only but they do have an everything 50% sale a few times a year. No idea when the next one will be though.

That is a good price. I usually buy my Simpsons Blus during Fox Connect's 50% off sales as they're $19.50.

You rarely find new DIsney stuff cheaper than when it's first released. I got Iron Man 3 for $24.99 day of release and I don't think it has been cheaper since then.

The picture they showed on the website was unquestionably the 3-disc version so it had better be that one since that was the sole reason I placed an order.
