The stores are only shipped the exact number that are preordered. By selling you one on the spot, that would mean someone who had the forethought to preorder one would not receive their's. Is that a preferable circumstance?

I can confirm that any Lancers/Epic/Limited editions will only be available to those who preordered them (for Gamestop).

Gamestop is a Fortune 500 company, making over $9 billion in revenue last year. They are smaller than Amazon, but not with respect to American companies.

The College Avenue/El Cajon store has MvC3 collector's editions on 360 and PS3. Starting next week, I'll be working at that store.

My Gamestop put a bunch of used game 50% off, and added more new games to the 25% off bin. Couple decent deals, Heavy Rain for $22.49. Sorry Chop Suey, we sold the MvC3 CE.

We have a couple of MvC3 Special Editions for PS3, unless they've been transferred to another store already. Unfortunately, the codes aren't on cards anymore, but rather print on the receipt when you pick up your reservation. I think they got wise to employees selling them on ebay.
