I don't have a problem hitting them - I have a "Greatsword of Artorias" (the cursed version) great damage and not so bad attack speed/pattern - especially R2 being a nice long forward lunge. What I find to be the real problem in New Londo Ruins is properly defending yourself. I've been doing a...

Sen's Fortress was really easy IMO. As long as you progress cautiously, nothing really can kill you. New Londo Ruins on the other hand...now thats a place worth going nuts over *walks away ranting* And from what I hear, I'm going to have either an impossible time cutting off that tail, or an...

Glad to read of the progress you've made so far io. I haven't played Dark Souls in a few days because of RL stuff... but also because I'm still a little salty about New Londo Ruins lol. Been wondering pretty hard if there is any way to defend myself better in that place, but I'm starting to...

At Sparkly the Crow's nest before you exit Undead Asylum (or just re-entering).

You gotta stay curled up for like 20-30 secs io. After that, any other time you curl up, it will be near instant. Grats on Capra slaying, and good idea on kindling bonfires. It will come in handy later on and NG+, NG++, etc. :) The only part I dislike about people invading my game is if they...

Make sure you get the key to one of the Asylum Doors. Its on top of the building next to the tower that you ascend towards the Crow's Nest. Don't fight the Stray/Asylum Demon again just yet though io... I think he/she/it is a bit too strong for you at this level. Just avoid walking in the middle...

Have to say I have finally run into an area in Dark Souls that is actually frustrating/upsetting me: New Londo Ruins. I can hit the ghosts no problem... its jsut that I can't defend against them at all. Apparently Magic Def. Shields don't help (which I'm not surprised since they aren't really...

Only reason why I didn't pick master Key was because the Old Witch's Ring sounded more mysterious/useful and I didn't want to look online for any tips/tricks/advice when I first started. By the time I noticed, I felt that I worked too hard to get as far as I did to start over XD I plan on...

My main character is too far into the game for me to start over, but I'm not too far till the end.... I think... so I'll be able to confirm this for myself and everyone else once I hit NG+ I guess hehe. Only reason why I haven't blazed through this game as fast as everyone else is because I'm a...

Is that so? Can anyone else confirm this? Not that I don't believe you Brainberry, I'm just really curious. ^^

I expected Sif to be harder :( I honestly think they should have made him more mobile/agile, faster recovery from his attacks, more attack patterns? Maybe toss his sword in the air, it lands (makes medium sockwave) then he attacks you with his paws/teeth chomp you aggressively for a little? Some...

Thanks for the link to that article Jodou. I have some friends I need to show that to because they need a wake-up call. I hate how they only see games majority of the time (only as achievements/trophies and complaining about nonsense). I am sad/upset! I faught Priscilla last night, and I...

Pull the plug? Really? Why? That is really lame :/ Dark Souls is a great game. Difficult at first, but once you get the hang of things, it is more fun trying to find ways to overcome all your challenges. Also it will be great to be able to say you were skilled/persistent enough to finish...

For everyone looking to have fun with people invading them, do what I do: Pick a room that you cleared out, then start decorating the room with Prism Ores lol. Makes it seem like a ceremony and/or welcomes them to the room. If you want to take it even further, hide yourself with Chameleon...

Heads up to anyone who goes back to the Undead Asylum for the first time: @Brainberry: I believe I got that spell as a drop from weird monster on the wall in Blight Town. Didn't fight back, I was on the wooden platforms behind it, shot arrows till it died. Didn't purposely lame it out, just...

I chose the Ancient Witch Ring because it sounded mysterious and important later on hehe. You're and I aren't stupid, we just made our choices without looking online or anything for tips/hints/advice/etc. Sadly no Black Knight drops for me either. Are there any places later in the game that...

Hey Jodou, when you mentioned earlier about having to be in Human form to be invaded by certain Boss/NPC, would you mind telling me when and where that is so I don't miss it? Also if there are any other places like that as well? I'm sort of completionist as well :X

Have any of you experimented with the Hand-to-Hand weapons? I tried equipping two of them to see if you could be some sort of Brawler/Monk/Boxer but... it doesn't function as I thought up in my head lol. Anyone try the stronger ones or upgrading them (or the weaker versions)?
