I was hoping that one of the chains would offer a slipcase, like BB did when Kill Bill V2 came out; something like that. IGN even hinted at it last week, but it looks like it was just hearsay.

That's a pretty nice deal for ~$40. Even if you don't like the sequels, I'd say this box is definitely worth it for the awesome new transfer of the original, plus the Animatrix and the crapload of extras.

Not accurate at all. I placed an order Monday (Columbus Day, even) at 5:00PM, with standard shipping, and had it at 10:00AM Wednesday. Every other experience I've had with Amazon has been the same. They have warehouses everywhere, so anything other than standard/free shipping is just a waste of...

A lot of DVDs just don't have inserts, at all. I'd say around 1/3 of them, actually. You can buy them brand new, on release day, and they still won't have one. This started happening about two years ago.

I heard this same thing as well. Pretty lame. I really don't see why they can't just open it up to all members. I mean, how many Reward Zone members are there, anyways? I mean, I'm one, but it's not exactly a popular program. I doubt it'll even be around in a couple more years.

These prices are effective in BB stores. Don't even have to do in-store pick-up. I've heard some even have Superbit displays now.

They did release an updated image for the box-back (as seen at the link modium posted), but it looks like the retail copies don't have the new version. It'd be in their best interest sales-wise to correct this for future shipments, as a lot of people DO care about original aspect ratios..

The one-disc DC version of Alexander is the fullscreen release. The widescreen DC is two discs (for some reason). Bad, bad movie anyways.. Unbelievable deal on the Ghostbusters set, I had no idea it'd be that cheap. Judging by BB's website, it'll be $12.99 there next week as well, most likely..

I can, I'd just rather not. To me, it's just been worth it to double dip and get a newer version (if it exists) that's anamorphic. The black bars on the sides are an annoyance I'd rather not deal with.
