last time i was in Game Nut they definitely had a 3DO and a stack of games. No CD-i or Turbo Duo systems that i saw. There were a few loose HuCards, however. Never hurts to ask whose working--i've gotten stuff there in the past that wasn't on display.

i don't know of any in KC proper off the top of my head, but there's a Gameco in OP near the mall, one in the Great Mall, and one on Santa Fe in Olathe. Needmore Discs in on Nieman sells games, but their selection is consistently crap. Then there's Vintage Stock, of course. But no deals be had...

Believe it or not, i have scored Criterions at garage sales. Of course they were stuff like Armageddon and Chasing Amy, but they're still Criterions dammit!

Pickings have been awfully slim around here lately. I think the last awesome deal i ran across was the Hastings 9.99 and under on all used GC and XBOX games combo-ed with the "buy one get one for a penny" deal. Actually, Hastings hasn't ran a single deal since then--even on DVD's. Bumout.

Gatsby's Big Score (Massive CL find; bought a collection - *pics*)

The all-in-one Famicom carts are obviously bootlegs and the Saint Seya and Double Dragon ones appear to be boots too. Everything except for the Adventure Island 3 and the racing game. Don't quote me on that, though.

Best place to sell used books?

If you have either a Hastings or Half Price Books in your area, they buy used.

none of the Gameco's are any good, IMO. Crappy stock, and overpriced. They do carry older stuff, though.

Two Vintage Stocks (which SUUUUUCK), and there's still that Gameco on 95th (which isn't much better), i believe. Other than that it's all GS/EB.

    Does Best Buy Sell this?

Wal-Mart's got them. Wal-Mart is pretty YMMV, though.

Checked out Video Library on Monday. All the game stuff is still overpriced for what they have left IMO. I'm assuming prices will continue to go down as they near closing, though--at which point a lot of the ps2, gba and xbox stuff they have will become worth it. My haul: Konami Krazy Racers...

i was at that GameStop about six months ago, and it was pretty cleared out of N64 and PSX stuff already. Tons of case-less PSX there, but nothing worth having.

i know there's a Vintage Stock in Joplin (no deals obviously) Did you stop by Eccentrix(sp?) by any chance? I know that they carry used stuff-and you can find a deal or two there sometimes.

Vintage Stocks have always suprised me with their wide breadth of video game stuff (i.e., i found some boxed Famicom games at one once)---but DEFINITELY do not expect to find any deals WHATSOEVER. Overpriced is the name of the game there.

I just snagged Wario Ware: Touched! at the Topeka TRU Friday for 19.99. They still have tons of slips if anyone wants to make the trip. I have no idea why this game is fetching such high prices on Ebay. TRU was literally the first place i'd looked since noticing that is was "worth" something.

Lawrence was TOTALLY cleaned out by 11am Monday. By the time I got there, all i could find was a copy of SRS: Street Racing Syndicate for the Cube. Probably not even worth the 1.99--but i bought it anyway. There was also three different groups of people walking around with printed lists. Total...
