It's the end game of any industry where one company is dominant. They're at the point where their base is beholden to them, so any moves they make can be slightly worse than before, to eke out more cash. Instead of expanding their business and earning good will, they're making it more expensive...

I enjoy the chance to have the old games remastered in permanent disc form on the PS4, like Bounty Hunter and Racer Revenge. But how EVERY title gets a collector's edition, and these 100% useless remade cartridges have zero value to me.

I saw Best Buy has fancy new Steelbooks for a few old MCU films, like Civil War, but they're not 4K versions. I'll wait for those, like the first two Avengers got.

Man, I don't know what's worse.   More of the same bundle of python books or the fact that their website makes it nearly impossible to see what the new bundles are anymore.
