1/19 New York and Amsterdam 3DS events - 3DS $249.99, March 27th, 2011

The launch titles are great for most people. Nintendogs+Cats is the big title that'll sell millions. Then you'll have sports titles, DOA & Steet Fighter, and Pilotwings(for the niche nintendo fans that actually remember that game). Great launch line-up that'll appeal to a wide variety of people.

I want Mario/Zelda/Kirby/Donkey Kong/Metroid/Pokemon/Animal Crossing, though.
 
At least its not $300.

I put a preorder down on Amazon just so I have it in place. Probably will get Pilotwings, Steel Diver and SSF4 3D if and probably will be available at launch.
 
I think $250 is reasonable given the technology of the 3DS. I mean, hell it would be great if it was cheaper but the price is acceptable to me. Now the launch titles...

I'm going to make my assumption and assume SFIV 3D, Dead or Alive Dimensions, Nintendogs and Cats, and Pilotwings are potential titles and if they are, I'm likely to buy those day one.
 
I can't wait for this!!! I put in a pre-order for one of each color, we'll see which one I keep the closer the date gets. I hope the big "N" usually does, this time around I might make the drive to try it out if it is not to far.

I just have to comment on the other thread in the deals section "lol", I'm glad I wasn't around when the PSP came out with the same price tag.
 
I'll probably do the same for 3DS as I did for the DS, wait until the price drops and there are lots of good, new, and original games to play before jumping in. The launch lineup is very poor and there is maybe one or two interesting games that have been shown at this point, so there's no point in paying $250+ for a 3DS any time soon.
